I don't think that small aircraft are really wanted in the present administration, bigger heavier factory produced expensive aircraft are accommodated,
Seems, all want GA aircraft on RAA register as a cheaper way to fly recreation.

But with an old type carbie, with fairly large jet size, and gravity feed, why put a micron sized filter in-front of tank filter and sediment-bowl filter, after the finest filter (micron) there will only be clean fuel down-stream!.
Sort out "gravel/sand & in correct order to get the most life from filters, unless just one only.

BIG HAMMER
And away he goes into the wide-blue yonder.
Hang-on, why did he end up on the beach?

I had to be in two clubs to gain a RAA certificate.
Flying club & RAA itself. So RAA + ELAAA
Very expensive now

Will students at ELAAA, still have to pay & be a member of RAA ?.

In my instance, The flying instructor Is/was a GA instructor at a different airport, & I was happy with him & my progress, But when assessed by the senior instructor was put off, was told in different words (to these),
I'm wasting his time and my money. That's when the big blue set in,never flew since.

That was my downfall, to much emphasis on going to a higher qualification, than I thought, The "Basic" test is hard for a rooky, with-out throwing in commercial type questions as well as radio/ flight planning & Law(that changes at the whim of a pollie)
Next on the list is getting air-radio off AM vhf band to something without a Heterodyne problem.

Also,
Will the new "Blue" head (14mm plugs) fit the Grey head motor?.
As the grey head brigade are usually looking for weight saving.

They look a tad smaller/lighter?. There are four to a 582 engine.
So would be good for weight watcher's.

Cheaper than "platinum" (used in some Holdens) I think.

Must read it again.
I read somewhere, it lost a clutch. engine rec's increasing, yet prop slowing.

"down after never attaining speed or stability in flight"
Which of your aircraft can fly when half your motor stops achieving full power after lift-off.

I disagree with that statement.
American's have always said, We'll make a brick fly with enough horse power!.
Lack of it at the prop stopped this beautiful aircraft achieving every one's dream.
If the original former's (pattern) are still there, money & enthusiasm will make the "Bugattie Blue Dream " No,.2 fly again.

But You have said "25 then overnight", next New day Another 25 & bedy byes, Now I have to work out were to Start from, to get a none controlled airstrip 25nm away.
May even join the air-race if enough small strips can be written into the route .

How do you squwark without a transponder,
and due they come "handheld" (battery powered) as not all aircraft have 12v power, only a Handheld trx.

OR swap to a tandem seater, like a "Citabrcia" (spelling), or a Hummel.
