.... he and Pauline used to do stunts at the end of each march (& most other months as well) by copying the moves of American Cheer Leaders.

 

Because Cappy was a strapping strong young lad, he was Pauline's dedicated lifter, so he would throw her into the air and she would land on his shoulders, therefore Cappy needed to look up in order to catch her correctly.
