Cappy used to play the drums in his very popular band in Sydney called the "Pheromones".

The BeeGees and other cruel performers called us the Feral-Moans, but because Cappy looked a bit like Barry Gibb, but better, he didn't care what name the Groupies called out during the wee hours.

.... that is where the misconception started, as the technical term defined by the Drifter Owners and Constructors Association is that the tape to be used is made from Anas Platyrhynchos and the spelling mistake in Turbo's above post is critical.

So for Drifter construction savings, registered 51% Drifter kit builders must use Duck Tape, which is expensive.

As potential good news for the DO&CA, TCF have identified a unique method to convert that little 2" wide strip up a moggie's back to feel and act just like Duck Tape. (Cats, it has been found, can regrow that strip of skin every 12 weeks, so short-term pain for the felines but long-term gain for the aviation community) - a Win Win, all as identified by our mate Tubb.

And this term, dear Readers, became the Aviation equivalent of Killary's "Deplorables" statement.

Soon deplorable aviators & aviatrixes Aussie wide were wearing T-shirts (supplied by Turbine Casual Clothing PLC, mind you), saying "I'm a GOOSE & proud of it .... + so is my mum".

Following the trend in the UK, TCC have prepared a range of tshirts that say "CAPPY/OT/BULL IS A WANKA" (CROSS OUT THOSE TO WHICH THIS DOESNT APPLY).
