    lack of spare money floating around in society not many students with $ 50 notes falling out of their back pockets in some ways its better to have a flight school operating at say a high $ 300 per hour than have NO flight schools operating at a low $ 150 per hour ?

    Whats the legality where aircraft 1 and 2 are flying downwind Aircraft 1 flies a 747 circuit and continues downwind say 2 miles Aircraft 2 - following aircraft 1 downwind - calls and turns base at say half a mile - before aircraft 1 calls base ? .......... can aircraft 2 legally do this ? - rather than follow aircraft 1 ........... the thing being that aircraft 1 thinks that their circuit is safer than aircraft 2

    about 1982 ? when I was at a Motueka NZ flight school someone said there was a mozzie in a farm shed down the road me and my mate went looking ................ sure enough we found it, asked Mr farmer if we could look - it was in good nick ................ with other aircraft (can't recall the others) from memory the main wings and tail were on and standing on undercarriage ............and the elevators were off. we sat in the cockpit - it was complete (more or less) even the pilots handbook was there to read (something about if plane mishandled someway watch out the prop blades would n't break off ?!?) (thanks one track - item 66 of your POH ! - crash landing) I'll try and find out where that mozzie ended up

During a routine 100hrly inspection/oil change, a substantial quantity of solid debris [crushed aluminum in appearance] was found in the oil tank. The engine was removed and sent to the Rotax agent, where it was stripped and inspected. No sign of contaminant or damage was found. Only other way for debris to enter the oil tank, is through the oil filler cap.'

    a good reminder of instructor ethics FH if you buy a top quality sausage - there's still no guarantee that top money was paid for its contents, either price is an indicator of sausage quality - its no guarantee though (delete 'sausage' and insert 'flight training' as necessary)

    1 kilo = say 36 ounces gold say $ 1,300 / ounce ...................... 1 kilo gold = $ 46,800 report is saying (255 kilos / $ 255 m) - 1 kilo of ice = $ 1,000,000 ! (they say ice can be manufactured from products in a hardware store (or water in a freezer)) I think there'll be plenty out there that will step forward as the next distributor. The capture of this shipment actually increases the price of the next sale, encouraging even more to be the next distributor - there's got to be a better way in reducing the impact of drugs to keep the subject 'on topic' - this will mean more Cessna's flying to Australia from America

    in regards to flying solo ............... I can't recall if I ever taxied an aeroplane solo prior to flying solo even if only to taxi a distance to fetch the instructor would there be something worthwhile in this (giving the instructor some exercise at least) is there some rule against it ? might be good for student pilots please be gentle with any smart answers

    .............. just for the conversation - good variation in answers I suspect most ultralight planes suffer from brake fade quickly, so how you stop best, needs to be thought about (or read)

    A theoretical ......... If you were taking off with say 1 notch of flap (or no flap) - lets say grass runway - plane has brakes - fixed undercart And you had to stop takeoff - lets say loss of power - no groundloops or deviation from runway is possible The remaining strip distance is minimal - what would be the best way to stop ? .............. i'd go for full flap and brakes ?

    I dont think money has a lot to do with safety if you have met a minimum safety requirement- it might decrease the odds of a blip .......... it s not a gaurantee though The nsw govt could spend billions on any 20 km stretch oh highway - plus get any number of paternalistic / patronising adverts on any number of tv screens - for some reason someone will have an accident - all the same for sure To say 'big spend airlines' are a sure bet compared to 'ive done whats required airlines" is a mirage - its subjective Whats the answer - ruggered if i know - an engine brake on that dead engine would be a start - or maybe explosive bolts and get rid of the mota That airframe took a pounding ? - not to mention the humans
