My Dad did his Ra-Aus conversion flying a Drifter... much of this was off Rainbow Beach itself. What better way to train IMO.

IMO opinion (and based upon study of non-popular media) Australia is in actuality no more litigious than it was 25 years ago... Australians Yes.. The insurance companies have had a pretty easy trot in the Australia or am I missing something here? I mean what is the point of having insurance if the insurance companies can get away with not paying? And this happens on a BIG scale from what I see.

I reckon the parachute opening down low is the best part... the way it almost slows...right.........down....I expected it to go into orbit given the size of it!And then out pop the chutes...

I like it... there are a lot of great bargain aircraft in NZ it seems... I wonder what it would cost to land a container full in Australia...?Seems the listing has expired...But this on looks coolhttp://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/aircraft/aircraft/auction-523290327.htm

My reading of the whole situation is that these problems are not new... Would the lawyers in time look to go after Board Members and Staff in this case?
-
Anyone still wish to attribute all the trouble to a small group of non or ex board members with a grudge to bare? Just Politics and nothing to worry about? Can someone please explain why this level of fairly basic detail appears to have taken a considerable time to be advised to the members. If it can be advised to the members now, why not earlier and around when the Board learnt of the nature and content of the action?Anyone?
Nothing of the facts as I have read them would appear to indicate this has ANY chance of going in favour of Ra-Aus in a court of law... The recent Audit... The Coroners Report of the Sting Acccident...

You have received nothing by way of reply? Can anyone inform me about the current status with this type aircraft as to when it will be legal to fly again & will it be 19 or 24 registered, as I am proposing to buy one , as they are a safe & reliable aircraft, but will only proceed with consideration of a transaction once certainty has been determined by RAAus & CASA as to its airworthiness future in Australia. Some weeks ago I wrote to RAAus requesting them to advise me what airworthiness documentation they have on file & to date I have sore hands from sitting on them & am out of breath waiting. Maybe they are to busy with all of their other legal matters before them, or maybe they have round filed my written request (ie. chucked it in the bin)However I still wait in hope.

I don't know the context of this statement... Is this is our Treasurer's Statement... or one made by Mr Reid as a normal member?I absolutely agree with his 'Statement' which does not have to be 'in depth'. -

There has been one advertised online for sale for some time in WA... Google it... Could be an old add. Low hours I believe.

And yet... our kids mostly literally take there "love lessons" from Hollywood...Don't want to take flying lessons from Hollywood. Every movie there is at least one engine failour or crash. -
Because Hollywood sold us on the idea...?So why do they say; you fall in love with someone, and in doing so can be high as a kite... oh the conundrums of life.

“All of a sudden, we have a speedometer,” (Jeb Corliss) said. “It will change and revolutionize wingsuit flying and sky diving in general.”

Blimey! They cut their final glides real short. My sphincter started contracting by 2.00 minutes in... The whole thing made so much more sense after he "arrived" at ground level and his competitors went shooting by at tree top height, most probably to make the airfield.

It took a while to work out just how close to a disaster this landing was...The last angle you can really see he seemed to touch the mains quite solidly on the road before the strip... An amazing save.

I love a good Rocket launch!!!
Seeing this stuff is one of the best things about Youtube.

He is very frank and honest in this interview. It is good to see an aircraft kit designer/manufacturer who does not go over the top with claims of what the aircraft can do.

NZ has an amazing second hand Ultralight market considering its population... There seems to be a much bigger variety of what we would call Grassroots Ultralight aircraft on offer in the sub $20k price range...
