I very much doubt it was terrorist related...

Mostly the "recognized" factories are just a bunch of guys in a shed...daza38 if the factory in columbia or cuba or whereeva it is built is not recognised by australia authority then it may as well be amature built because its not factory built. It just depends on how you interpret factory built it may as well be a bunch of guys in a shed.-

Toowoomba may as well be Birdsville for it's lack of proper RPT.
It is a shame AUF left Brisbane as there was nothing wrong with it being there.

Regional airports may have airline access...but it is meaningless unless there is some competition to keep the prices down...Rex etc doesn't count as viable airline transport.
I am guessing Mackay is too far north BUT.. it has good access with completion from major airline nation wide...
This property would be perfect and already has an airstrip...and perfect flying weather...buy it outright for $1 million and make an income leasing the farm...

When I worked in the Airline industry the contractor wages paid by Virgin were a good deal better than Qantas were paying...and Virgin was paying peanuts.
Perhaps some proof of the over the top wage claims would be nice or stfu.

I would add RV3s to that equation too...

They are nice...but...they aren't a Cub...and they are "driven" from the front seat. I reckon the original J3 still has a special appeal.I agree Don, but Zlin with their Savage range of cub types can be bought with the basics. ie- 80 Hp rotax etcIf it was a case of buying the best Cub-a-like currently on the market the Savages wins...but I would want more.

I reckon the clipped wing Cub with 100hp would be about as good an LSA as money could buy...shame the companies selling "souped up" new Cubs dont have one in their product line...KISS.

Seems to me centralized training would be cheaper in this case for the membership...because RA-Aus doesn't pay (not should it) for those requiring training to travel to the facility.

Argh.....dreadful...bit love the Mirages.

They certainly have a presence...I love em...but they do appear to have some shortcomings.

I declare your wife the winner on the other thread.

Would be a simple thing to add a "deadman switch" or as it would be a dead engine switch connected to the ignition...
-
It's not a completely stupid idea...Must be time to add a car or truck type horn to all light aircraft-

Gnarly...?It's interesting that a member of such an alleged vandalising group would know exactly how to puncture the fuel tanks on an aircraft, but not be able to draw their own symbol. So the question perhaps should be who would know how to puncture tanks but not know how to draw swastikas?(big LOL)

Except build and certify itself for training...Come over to Watts Bridge some time or give me a call, happy to come over to Coominya. I would be happy to show you a Nynja. It will do just about anything a Brumby will do at half the price. www.bestoffaircraft.com.au Greg.(hey you asked for it for trying to steal a thread on a competitor aircraft)

This is brilliant... Language warning... I heard one swear word.
Perhaps it is not channel 7 who have lost the plot...rather us the consumers...

Amazing photos.

Nikasil heads and sound construction... They tick all the boxes on paper...I would be curious to know why they have the bad rep. They are certainly rare Down Under so the experience gained couldn't be from a large user base..
-
Good luck on your search Bruce...there is a serious need for an economical Rotax 2 stroke replacement... Hirth(pronounced "hurt" apparently in German) don't seem to have a good reputation in Oz...which is a shame in my opinion.

Yes. Just the tip of the iceberg.

I've never given such a heartfelt like before.Yea mate. That was him. It was a tragedy alright..:( i learned in that aircraft. And couldnt get off work to do the drop with him..-

The high wing Brumby IMO looks a bit ungainly...but so does the Savanah...until you fly one...and then you appreciate that function has it's own beauty and you never look at the bird the same way again.

Hidden dangerous goods is by far...like really far...the biggest danger in Airline travel...
