  1. What it could be is your ailerons are in such a neutral position they get a wiggle up.

I've had the same problem (soon as it happened I landed and checked it out though, it had just been adjusted previously).

When banked, or had pressure on the ailerons it would go away. To fix it we just dropped them down a bit, so they aren't just trailing in the 'no load' area.

  2. Great planning Adrian, and good job.

    But unfortunately Slarti is right.

I live next to Military restricted airspace, and I've spoken to the tower before, they will gladly let you in, but I just can't with my RAA license, sadly.

I'll be there soon though once my ppl is done!

  3. G'day All.

Just throwing ideas around at the moment, so nothing definite yet.

But was wondering if there would be anyone interested in doing a day trip to the Northern Natfly at Monto in June with me? (share the costs sort of thing ;) )

It's about 135nm from Dalby I think, so that would make it about an hr 25 minutes if we don't get a headwind each way. Plus the taxing/climbing/holding, stuff.....

If the weather is good over the ranges, could divert coastal a bit to pick up.

See what you reckon, and as I said, nothing definite yet. Not sure what aircraft I'd take either, but It'll most likely be a Jab of some sort.

  4. ...Ah yeah but  .... when the Jabaloo needs a repair ;) .... five minutes and it's back in the air......

And while we are up there clocking hrs   .... them rotoraxel drivers are down there picking flowers... :ah_oh:

Don't ask me why.... but, most probably cause it couldn't fly.... 006_laugh.gif.d4257c62d3c07cda468378b239946970.gif 040_nerd.gif.818f42a429bd433d10428d88b6b4d49f.gif

    I'm a both-er, just incase you think I'm a onesider.... {not that there's anything wrong with that}

  5. tomo danger areas arent prohibited at all you can fly through them its just that a danger area to keep a special look out while transiting.

Sorry about that guys, was meaning "you can do it"!!! but got me vocabulary back to front! 040_nerd.gif.a6a4f823734c8b20ed33654968aaa347.gif

  6. im not familiar with the RA rules but are RA pilots allowed through danger areas or restricted areas when they are not active???

    G'day PerthJay,

Danger area's are just that, you are "Allowed" to enter them, but beware! there could be dangers in there!

Restricted area's are area's where there is a... err 'restriction', so you need to ask for permission.

  7. G'day Foto Flyer, sounds like we use the same camera, I wanna update sometime though!

And my thing isn't patented, (not a bad idea though 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif )

Darky: for sound you can get an adapter (similar to what you have now for your headphones to plug into your computer, but just the other way around, with a female connection one end). Plug that into the passenger side headset plug and put your lead into that, I record it onto either the iPod or my old fashioned MD player, then if you want you can just add that to your video when editing. iPod is great because you just Sync it into iTunes and makes it really easy to add to any video. We use thing thing - Belkin TuneTalk Stereo - The next best invention to cable ties I reckon!

If you have a passenger with you, it makes it a bit different cause they'll want a headset and hear you also! But 90% of the time, I don't want to record sound with a pax anyway!! ;)

If you get a HDD camera, make sure it's a 'solid state Hard drive', that way it won't shut down on you when bumped and jiggled. (as Foto states above)

  8. hey there! not bad for my very first landing without any assistance! what do we all think? do i pass? can i have my licence now?

The first time I made a good landing, my instructor said, "three more like that, and you'll be solo!"..... well it took a bit more to find three more like that for me!! 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif
