Yeah, fowled plugs I heard...BTW the Cessna wouldn't run up this morning- his goose was cooked! Flew real low(ground) back to the parking area-it sounded terrible on run ups!

Are you sure that that is oil build up? not carbon build up from Avgas? I realize you run PULP as well, but Avgas is pretty yuk stuff for causing carbon. I do also realize it's on the inlet valve so not real likely I guess. You can see the amount of carbon build up on the back of the inlet valves owing to oil bypass, which to me suggests that valve stem seals would have been a good idea in the design.I'm of the opinion with Stanzahero above - using guide seals wouldn't be the best idea if you could help it.
We don't fit them to engines in ski boats (Chev, Windsor, Cleveland etc) due to sometimes running a bit dry and when sitting for a while the moisture from the water will start to cause rust on the guides, they may use a tad of oil (haven't really noticed it though), but it better than having to pull your head (s) off every time you want to take it out. We fit the hardened valve guides as well so you can run unleaded in them without adding any suppliment.

G'day Latestarter! Great to have you
Choosing an aircraft of your taste is a hard one, but give it time and try out as many as you can, and you'll get the idea of what you would like.
The pro's and con's are all personal choices re high/low wing, nose/tail wheel, stick/yoke, middle stick/side stick etc... there are so many options it's not funny.
I still haven't settled on one aircraft yet, possibly cause I like flying anything at this stage!
The Jabiru 120 is really nice though, to fly and get places quick - cranked it up yesterday to 108IAS cruise - 16ltrs hr.
The J230 is great for cruising and carrying stuff!
Lightwing is great fun
Savannah... they're nice to fly!
Drifter is ridiculous fun around the property ;)
Lightning is very nice/fast - but wouldn't want to head of the beaten track for a strip though.
Savage Cub looks pretty cool - yet to be flown and try it out.
Then there is the Quicksilver GT500 - best of both worlds... like a drifter, but fast as well!
Etc etc...

Have fun

Here are some pictures of yesterdays Inglewood adventure.
Had a great flight there and back (28 min to do 53nm on the way back!)
Went for a flight in a trike with Neil "Ballpoint246niner", and "Crezzi" in the other trike. (great to catch up with you Crezzi, and Neil again)
Did a lot of talking ( :ah_oh: ), and meeting up with everyone again, was a great day.
The Scale Spitfire was awesome! 350 Chev driven.
Enjoy..............
Ps. First two pic's are out our place... under the shade of a (can't think of the name) tree. 6th Pic is the only way I could think of getting a shot of myself! (no not really...) makes me look fat....
Pic 17 is a nice looking Airtourer, and no it's not Mazda and co.....

Pic 50, is a cool looking hang glider wing thing... apparently it glides very well. (Ahlocks: can you recognise anything?
)The last pic is on the way home, and no it wasn't dark.... just the camera light settings when shining in the sun make it look that way!

Congratulations mate, a big achievement you'll never forget.:thumb_up:

The D8 I've seen come into Twmba (only seen it actually touch down half dozen times) but they have been back wheels first, nose wheel a few seconds later.
