    I know it means spending some money that could be tight, but 1/2 hour to an hour with an instructor might be prudent. I found it reassuring to have one next to me after 6 months since flying. Only once did he hover on the controls, but left me to it. I will feel more confident on my next outing which I will make sooner rather than later.

    I think the storeman at Tamworth tafe vechicle refinishing in 2000/01 when I was there was one of the pilots that bought that back. My teacher had told us a bit about it, I think his name was David.

    What about the Lazair. The 2 chainsaw motors, cling wrap covering and plastic props. there is one flying in Tamworth. It’s all up weight is about the equivalent of me.

    Got a 1.6hr flight review in today, Beautiful weather after a front through yesterday. Felt good to be in the air again. will have to go again soon, not to lose the skills again after the long break.

    I got scammed by these guys. Money taken on double up offer, no drones, had to get bank to recover through disputes centre. I questioned them through their website, response said no order in your name, please confirm details on card. I answered that email with details, no further response. Checked online and found many claims of fraud and quality not what promised. 4 weeks later money was back, no one disputed transaction from their end. Might be a numbers game. 80% disputes is still 20% profit

    Is there such a thing as a ATC sim that could be used to practice radio calls, instead of talking to yourself like an idiot?

    I had trouble downloading to a fairly new Samsung S10 5G phone. Kept getting messages stating invalid phone number. I ended up turning off, then on, then updating before it finally just worked. I have contact with customers still even though sparse, also all day around my son who works there, I don’t believe he could follow directions even if he was a train on a track. i would like to think it might help if I get the dreaded rona. all the searching I do online still pops up on every device I use even if not logged in, so somebody is spying anyway.

    My son tracked the NZ Warriors Fokker journey this afternoon, when it got close enough we went out to spot it. we caught a glimpse of it on final for straight in on 30R at Tamworth. watch our fees go up now the council’s self image grows.

    Booked an instructor from a school that is still working for next weekend. Yay! Finally get to fly again.

    You get sponsorship also using real estate boards, advertising space is gold, First national, PRD, LJ Hooker, you could send them a bill to cover costs.

    Good thing is, that it doesn’t look used or broken. But I would always wonder until I found its home.

    more so do they have a vaccine or chemical destroyer of this sh@tful thing. They were spraying what? every where and are now operating again. I know life is disposable over there but how is this so.

    Another sad day for aviators and the families of these men. Media showed a Pawnee ag type aircraft. is it a Raaus plane or GA.

    I liked Mark’s work and Brian’s. I keep all my mags in those plastic magazine racks. Going back to old issues is interesting when searching for stuff you know is there, what else you find. I have my old 1994 AUF mags still in the shed in mono colour lifo paper. At least the drop of subscription will cost less at this time.

    I Bought aerolites Taxi and Landing from online (ebay i think) They fitted straight into standard holders, same screw joiners on rear. My Ampmeter use to go ballistic the moment i turned any lights on with the generator and pop the fuse if on too long. Now needle sits still, people can see me miles out when coming into airfield in daytime. I feel a bit safer being visible with such bright lights.

    What if you have a training session wedding with the instructor who is also a celebrant. Twice the fun party ?

    Bugger the politics. I just want to go for a fly. My plane has sat since November except for quick return from maintenance base to storage due to getting sick on a cruise, then fires, then storms, now a bloody virus. It sucks. When I did go to change the oil after 3.5hrs use on calender time, the bloody brakes decided to fail on one side so I couldn’t fly it then. After close to 6 months with bugger all time in the air, do I need a check ride for my own piece of mind or do I trust myself to get it right. if I can fix the brakes I might just give it a go and try to forget about all the stuff going wrong, on the ground.

    Already hit the country in Tamworth, on the news last night-“we weren’t stopped only given a piece of paper with advice on isolation”. So what did they do, hop on several trains to Tuggerah and drive home. How many people will have contact infections now. READ THE PAPER AND FOLLOW IT. grown ups shouldn’t have to have their hands held over this. These people raced onto a cruise boat 2 weeks before, so not to miss out on a trip that insurance wouldn’t cover. We were already into this problem at that stage and advised to cancel unnecessary travel. Now it is just adding to a bigger community problem.
