  1. LASER Z-2300 or REBEL 2300

Neither of those. I can't find any link between the manufacturer of this aircraft and the makers of the other two. Wikipedia has no page on this aircraft but they do on another model by this manufacturer. There are quite a few photos of this aircraft on different web pages.

  2. The aircraft appears on airport-data.com with both registrations. I have posted a question on their forums asking about this. One of their moderators or staff will answer that (I've been a member of that site since 2009). Up until 1948, NX registrations indicated Experimental category, but actual registrations since then are simply Nxxxx.

  3. I never drank more than a couple of glasses a year, and not a teaspoon for five years. I don't mind being pulled in for an RBT if it keeps a few d1ckheads off the road. It's a giggle when they ask "Have you had anything to drink?" to be able to answer "Yes, two lemonades and an iced coffee."

  4. A Qantas captain (sorry, didn't catch his name) landed his last flight today with I think they said 37,000 hours. He said his father was a Qantas captain, and passed the baton to hm, and he's passed it on to his son, also a Qantas captain, who flew in the right seat with his father.

  5. I got the photo on Pinterest where it was listed as an Ameur Altajet. I have been unable to locate anything on Google relating to it, but I did find a record of a Baljims (no photo), which included the name Ameur. I guess we'll call this one identified and move on.

(Edit: Your post#1201 came through while I was searching Google.)

  6. My reply seems to have gone missing in the site transfer.

No, not French, but it is European. Three models, 1 and 2 were wood and fabric, 3 was metal. First flew in 1965.

And here are a couple of extra clues. The makers name contains an umlaut (two dots over a letter), and drop one letter from the makers name and it becomes a common swear word.

  7. CASA has determined that the crash of a KingAir into the DFO complex at Essendon was the result of the rudder trim being set to full left rudder at the time of takeoff. This should have been detected in the preflight checklist. The checklist should also have revealed that the cockpit voice recorder was not functioning.
