    Jabiru did not. CAMiT did. A one off 1100cc two cyl 40hp special for a particular aircraft/customer. It never flew with that engine and I presume the engine was returned to CAMiT (and never seen again). I ran it once, it vibrated like a beeeetch.

    Some years ago a friend mentioned an annoying high freq vibration in his C182, coming from down the back somewhere. He checked all his antennas, and everything. I jumped in the back and off we went. Level off, pass 90 kt, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz yep. He said "hear that? It's coming from down the back." Well it was in front of me in the back seat. Looking around what do I spy between me and him - an air vent up on the left roof. Closed the vent, noise gone. Opened the vent just so, noise back. Vanes in the vent were singing like a reed in a musical instrument. That'll be $500 mate - cash or card?

    Any clues on where to get custom engraved or enamel pilot wings badges done? My aero club is wanting to award new pilots their wings once again. I've found www.lukus.com.au can supply gold eagle wings, same as I received years ago, but there's barely any room for anything to be engraved on the tail feathers. Wings are generally about 80mm wide, and won't have much real estate for anything, certainly not a full Timbuktoo Aero Club name or logo. I'll be surprised if there aren't a few aero clubs getting custom enamelled stuff done. Wherezit coming from? Standing by to hear - thank you!

    Whatever happened to the Melbourne Aircraft Corp (later IAC and AIA) MAMBAs - VH-JSA and FCX. Last saw one seemingly abandoned outside at Point Cook many many years ago.     Crashed onto my friend's neighbour's farmland. He said everything with cherries and berries and sirens went screaming down his road past his place. Flight radar shows who's who from about 0220z. HEMS3 from Bendigo got there pretty quick.

    One electric motor propulsion on the road, toothed belt to the rear wheels "diff", auto CV axles, disc brakes, all hi tech.

    Oh it's real, in Melbourne, it's quite an amazing bit of gear. First time I saw it, I noticed the AU Falcon door handles. Nothing of the helicopter interferes with the car, nothing on the car interferes with the helicopter. The single common item is the right pedal - yaw for heli and throttle for car. It has 3 pedals. yaw-brake-yaw/thr. It is physically impossible to be operated in "both" modes, one locks out the other. Of course, the Pol wrap job is just for show. 8A8 won't appear on FR24, no transponder, no ADS-B. The CGI looking vid is weird - yes. Watch the weeds as it goes by. Not local. That's about all I can say about it. Technology and build wise, I was impressed.
