I note there are also musings amongst some to look beyond CTA to IFR permissions for recreational aircraft, with the technology and systems available this is probably on the cards in the future as well.
That could be fun, sounds easy.

..............the current time even though the Palestinians introduced Diversity Training and qietened the gangs down wnough to take over Jerusalem and build a dance hall of their own over the top of the old pub. The Star family knew they had to do something. The Drifters took it without fighting back, so the Star family repackaged them from the Essenes religion to the Jewish Religion who packed a lot more punch. The Stars remained in control and were prepared to wait two thousand years if necessary to train them up to fight back, and gave them a three pointed star as a logo. A thousand years or so later the fighting started and the Stars gave them another three pointed star to make six, which put them ahead of the US where George Washington was only given five stars, which is why Washington DC is laid out as a five pointed star and has its centre of power in the Pentagon. For the same reason, Lyndon Johnson's California Texas Oil Co only got a five point pentastar, but it was a licence to .............

I'm afraid the pen might be talking about something different, like the tractor being set in a certain gear setting for a certain throttle opening for a certain application.
For example, set the throttle for descent and use the elevators for speed.
In that case the direction of the lever doesn't matter.

I notice when collecting photos for the Showcase that some of the best images found on Google (or Brave) are actually from simulators (or RC models). They are often better than images of the actual aircraft.
Probably because they are not dealing with reality; I can fly an L39 "thousands" of feet into the air and bing it down at max speed a couple of metres above the airstrip because of the telescopic camera you can put in a corner of the screen (otherwise it would be a speck so small you'd just have to hit the reset button for a new one.), and the outside view cameras that give you such clean shots are placed at a theoretical datum from the arcraft that you choose, so you get action shots whereas with real aircraft you couldn't get close enough. The visual part when you are doing that is not real world, and even with RC models in the airstrip circuit you can have trouble seeing the aircraft as you fly towards the sun.

A wing loading on any 95-10 design defeats, 1.6 "need not be an approved design".
If registered after "march 1, 1990" IS WRONG !.
it,s FLYING, registered previous but not flown gets DEREGISTERED
spacesailor
Space, you need to stay out of this; I have condensed things down to only what Kasper and I were discussing.

My core challenge to where you are coming from - and I understand and accept where you’re coming from - is that if you as an association are requiring anything like a “benchmark” that only allows registration and operation if that benchmark is met you have defacto created a design standard ... and that is in direct and complete opposition to the CAOs where all homebuilt airframes are not designed to any standard.
The conflict between what people may expect or accept as reasonable and what the requirements under the CAOs are is the core of the conflict.
I've started to prepare a comparison between the two methods of governance, but "the CAOs: was a bit vague to work on; I found this (which I've paraphrased - refer the actual documents for contiguous information)
RAA Technical Manual issue 4 – August 2016 states:
“Section 3.1 Amateur built and kit built”
- “CAO 95.10 provides for operation” [of RA amateur built and kit built]
1.6 “Need not be an approved design”
CAO 95.10 states:
- “Privately built single place aeroplane where:”
- It’s registered with RAA
- MTOW max 300 kg
- If registered after March 1, 1990
- Wing loading requirement
- If you are not the builder must have RAA build certificate
Design
- By the builder, or
- To a set of drawings approved by RAA, or
- Built from an approved kit, or
Was it RAA 3.1 and CAO 95.10 you were specifically referring to?
If so, it seems to me that CAO 95.10 is not prescribing a design and nor is RAA 3.1
If you could clear that up, I'll keep working on what I started.

It's the Great Planes Real Flight model aircraft simulator. Great fun.
Wayne.
Yes, it's not to say it's easy to do that because your judgement still has to be perfect, but you have the advantage of smashing the plane up hundreds of time and just hitting the reset button for a new plane, so you can build specific skills. I used to fly dogfights with a Russian (probably 13) every few nights. I flew a Mustang and would chase him just above gound level. He'd get away from by by flying through a barn which was too narrow for my wings and I eventually trained myself to get through the barn at 45 degrees. Some of the guys could fly with that accuracy against any object from trees to clothes lines.
Real Flight control response is a lot more realistic than Flight Sim because it's used as training for flying RC aircraft, but it's still not liike the real thing where there's no resent button.

Four Point Seat Belts Vs Lap Sash in RAA aircraft

It's important not to fall into the cargo cult trap of seeing something and THINKING it's better, or wearing something and thinking you're safe.
There's a helmet modification shown above which would give you a frontal lobotomy. I've been present where medics spent two hours extracting the side of a driver's head off a roll cage mounted camera. There's no point fitting a four point harness if it's just going to snap a quarter of a square metre out of an FRP fuselage.
There's nothing wrong with reinventing the wheel as long as your inputs don't come from other products designed for other forces and circumstances.
The better way to go about it is to research the accidents, see how the pax were injured, what the forces were, and what could make a difference and MOST importantly, would the aircrraft be practical with that equipment in it. Right now though you should be totally focused on your BAK so you can go solo safely. Nothing beats avoiding the accident in the first place.
