bert flood RIP mate and I had many a discussions on this very issue it was bert who inform me that rotax required a return line to tank well before year 2000 to reduce the chances off vaporization and flooding of carby and pressure relief on needle and seat
the reason why bert and I had these discussions was that at 100 hrs I had one new needle and seat replaced at 130 hrs 2nd new needle and seat replaced
when I found that that there was no return line to tank and informed bert his reply to me was " why not" yet the repair manual clearly shows that return line should have been there
it was the maj RIP mate who I also discussed very this issue at temora of not conforming with installation manual it was maj who got me to do the the test that I did about the amount off heat generated by some pumps that do not have pressure relief and heat generated by them is great neil

POH on some aircraft stipulate how the management of fuel is to be done so hoping that I would shoot my self in foot wont wash
POH start up on some aircraft select right hand tank as excess fuel from return line returns to right hand tank after 30 minutes of flight of turn on left tank

to be done with caution and fire extin handy
get electric fuel pump set up as static display well away from aircraft or other combustable material run into a carby with no escape for excess fuel and you will find that the pump will heat up very quickly causeing fuel vaporization turn on escape line for excess fuel and the heat from electric pump drops greatly
this is why rotax have a return line to fuel tank neil

both don and ian I respect as they and others I included want an organization that could be a force to be an influence against the regulator

oh dear that old story lost the paper work that story has bloody well run its course with me to
approached by 2 raaus reps at the last meeting to write a letter about my problem with what is wrong since my first encounter with raaus re my aircraft in 11/2008 to 5/2016 yes bloody eight years
only this time they approached me with a man who in my opinion one who has great knowledge of legal requirments I would not like to frount him in court un less my case was 100% facts
this will be the third time that I will have sent paper work

I admit I am slow as I see it you have a design that can be changed in three ways in a mater of minutes so that makes three separate aircraft
three separate weight and balance
three separate air craft
5 different wings

One would assume that 128 people are not. Hopefully they like me will accept the majority decision and see what happens.
I can say for definite that two of that 128 will be watching very carefully and stated 12 months for positive progress

now what about the 6000 or so that did not vote are they just not interested in the organization moving on or was it good the way it was
since 2010 I have said that we as members need to stand up and take notice off the crap and corruption and cover ups that was going on with the old way every thing were done
I now have a gut feeling that more positive communication is going to happen so if it don't the shit will hit the fan but it will only happen when we the members take more interest in our organization
now lets get on with taking small positive steps the will lead us to what members want from our organization and it wont happen if its left up to a couple or seven there are over 9000 that need to step up
thank you don for putting so mutch time and energy into trying to convince sceptics like me but I feel that I had good reason to go the way I did (you know part off that story )

at that meeting it was advised the comity had an enormous task a head off them and to inform members and to take members concerns on board
with what happened at the start of that meeting and the crap and corruption was a complete shambles

what some are saying that bloody prop only stops 3000 or 4000 ft that prop tells you that I am going to stop bullxxx it can and will stop at anytime get with the real world
twice it has been done to me bloody good lesson once on late final teaches you to stay within glide distance off field and once at 3000 ft get on that strip below is all he said neil
