Just a spanner in that world !.
What sized battery will l need ?
No generator, 12volt, XX amp h,s ?.
Five hour,s flying around the circuit, for a fun day.
Max take off wright.
And no margin for extra bits & pieces. I doubt l am the only one in this predicament.

Surely, if your going Not going to make those piano keys ( fence ), YET manage to jump over and spat down on the keys.
ITS GOTTA BE GOOD. ( AS LONG AS NO INJURY OR TOO MUCH DAMAGE )

I knew a rider who fell off his motocycle, On his test !,
And passed !.
He could never judge when to get his feet on the ground when stoping.

Does Our Light Aircraft Championship meet any criteria for interstate travel ? .
Just asking!. ( any spare seats ) LoL
spacesailor

NO ,.
The roo,s on my Daughter's property never raised a head, whenever an Autogyro passed.
But
We always go out to look up, & see what that noise is, very different to fixed wing aircraft sound.

HEY !,
Don,t forget us " non pilots ",
Any spare seats would be WELCOME ,.
Many thanks :: just in case.

Havent we all heard those Horror stories ?.

The one at Bundaberge didn,t look very good after being left in our sun for a period of time.
I wonder what became of it !.

They say,
Trikes, hang gliding & powered parachutes, have the same Deadly accident rate !.
Just the same as motor bikes.
Do we take any notice.

Thats the way l saw gyros, playing TAG around the TREEs, then up over the top, diveing down, around the treebase, & under branches, rotors nearly cutting leaves.
Great show of skill.

NN,!.
All the Jabiru training planes were grounded due to high air temps,
Lucky me in the opposition,s, Foxbat A22.
spacesailor
-
BUT,
Those Jabs grounded whenever the air reaches 41,d,C.
Doesn't,t the water cooLed heads allow a bit more fly time ?. ( at the Oaks foxbat flying, Jabs grounded ).

But with Autorotation, the lift can be a Lifesaver !.
The Gyro-Glider l had my tif in, always had a "DeadStick " landing.
So there must be one or two still flying.

SCARY ,.
You need an Autogyro guy, Like they had at EasternCreek, so many years ago !.

With the picture link.
How does Air get through those metal shrouds !.
Or are you trying to keep that cylinder warmer than the others. ( as in that HB picture )
I alwjays thought the Half VW motor was back to front, witn the exhaust, faceing the wind, & the inlet in the hot. Low pressure at the rear..
but
IT was all for cooling the hottest parts first.
I still think, if turned around, you wouldn't need those fins at the inlet side & exhaust could hve a short stubby, large finned tuned pipe rearwards.

I have just seen an advertisement for job training !.
Skill level one, " Care worker "
skill level two, " aged " care worker
Skill level three, care worker disabled aged ! .
A separate Certificate for each level of CARE .
It,s as bad as that " hight training " certifiation. One certificate per level of metres up !.
And each level cost a bit more than the previous certificate.

I believe that the gasket at the end of the fins is to stop Air escaping, !
It will force that entrapped air to follow that bead of silicone, around the edge to wherever it,s needed to to go, just as the same thing an aluminium cowling ( shroud ) does..

HEY
l've only had ONE car crash. ( it shook All in the car up ) In a lifetime !, that should show a semblance of safety.
AND l was not the driver. and the other car hit us going backwards. Made the facebuck/utube videos.

MY EGO WAS shaken to the core .
And l'vé not flown since !.
Does it make me a Safer pilot ?.

I,ll have a walk in the rain, to the shops. Now.

Propeller Shapes
in Engines and Props
Posted
"
The wooden prop I had on my aircraft worked OK and it looked good but wasn't that efficient ".
No wooden prop will be good in comparison to a metal prop.
Composite is between the two.
BUT
Lots of slow revving motor's won't make use of that efficient metal prop !.
SO.
It's a choice of composite or wood : revs 3500 pm : aircraft speed of less then 100knots. Wood is in it's element,
A little more revs : speed up as well. GO composite.
much better aerodynamics in metal, as well as composite. that are very hard to put into a wooden prop.
BUT
I will say a " Scimitar " prop will outperform our type of composite propellers .
( l see someone Has started making small Scimitar pros ).
