    One of the members on here has a strip on his property that he refers to as Heathrow Airport. Not sure that he'd need the terminal though for when some of his mates fly in.

    Just arrived back from a holiday in NZ a couple of hours ago and caught up with this story. All I can say at this stage is "Well Done" and so happy that you are in a position to relate the events from your point of view, all in one piece.That's the main thing

    No apology needed mate , your aviation posts are more accurate which I enjoy. Just glad I don't have to pay for the damage to the Astor. That would knock a hole in my pension for sure.

    Tell me about it Riley. If you drive a Riley Brooklands as in your avitar, i'm envious (just a bit before my time, but only just) I once owned an Alvis TD21. Wish I owned it now, it might make my pension stretch a bit further with or without the masking tape, as would the Aston Martin DB2-4 which I sold after a week of owning it to make a mammoth 120 quid profit at the time.
