    Jack, There are no old bold pilots. That is the realm of young, dumb and too full of ego, they think they can do anything. I expect given you are nearly seventy , you would have learned through the years , you do not know everything, can not do anything just with a gung ho attitude and physics does not give a shit about what you think. The are reasons for having proper training and evaluation of your abilities. Do not let your ego write checks your skills cannot pay. The only thing more dangerous than a young fool is a old fool.

    I also expect many aircraft up for sale in next 6-12 months. Sadly toys you can't use. I also expect many big sail boats will flood the market as owners struggle to maintain and keep afloat their holiday toy. Still seeking a comfy live aboard yacht. Just like aircraft, yachts tend to sell very slowly unless a bargain. It will be a buyer's market, as long as hordes don't get the idea of escape by sea. Still enjoying the pirate life aboard "Walrus". Port Stephens is beautiful and quiet, the noise of dolphins breaching the loudest noise. My timing of leaving the big smoke for water has been most fortunate.

A concerted campaign to spread dangerous information in a medical crisis and deliberately harm efforts to contain it. It is difficult to label accurately such behaviour other than sociopathic at best

    It's a big list as we don't know how long or bad it will get... So having a less than stellar health had planned ahead when China started.... But tomorrow getting . 1000 litres diesel to top tankage on the boat. 1000 water 100 litres unleaded for outboard and genset 10 carton beer- German naturally 5 dozen Red wines Heaps chocolate etc Munchies etc. I also have a nearly empty Port Stephens, a lovely 35 foot boat and enough fishing gear to obtain protein as needed. Not much competition from others and can go coastal as well. Just going to enjoy the boat time and eat crabs, prawns, big fish and savour a beer. Have a 720 watt solar system and a wind turbine to put up yet. Power should be no issues. As long as we can get gas bottles filled, have 5 bottles, then cooking will be fine. Like NomadPete, a boat is a zombie apocalypse space ship or safe zone from disease. And the perfect place to enjoy a extended holiday away from others. Just two brothers growing longer beards and living the seadogs life. Who would have thought.....six months ago to do this was considered a luxury or selfish. Now it's doing a selfless act and being responsible... ironic.

    I am on the goodship Walrus, well stocked, full of fishing gear etc. Social distancing is fine for me, the fish are friendly. As long as I have meds and beer, all is ok. All you landsmen stay safe.

    And now after volunteering to check aircraft already built but carparked they discover fuel tanks full of debris. Metal shavings, tools, and probably dead cats. And not just one but a large undisclosed number. Given these were built after the crashes and grounding, and should have been inspected in production..........if they can't build right after grounding, how the hell can you trust them. Even when under max scrutiny they still fuck it up. Ah the fun is just started. Toulouse must be popping champagne.

And Kobe Bryant, a reknown thug, bully and rapist who got away with it- he should have still been in Jail doing time- but VIP meant no justice. He deserves absolutely no respect or sadness in his death. He lived as a scum bag criminal and deserved to die like one, alas he got off very lightly.

    Note ....a proper designed pancake flywheel should weigh about the same as a full flywheel. So no great weight penalty. Nor size issues. The penalty is the weight of controller and small batt pack. If that is same as fuel saved, a instant winner. Even with a small weight penalty of 10-15 kg it still makes a lot of sense. We have discussed this at length on HBA forum. I have looked at this for years and followed the tech as matures. This is already the big thing in UAV circles esp from NASA.

    More efficient to do it the other way around. Use a rotary as motive power with a pancake motor on the flywheel. The battery pack gives boost to climb, thus only a small motor needed for rotary to keep height. Excess goes back into batt for later. So you optimise the power pack for level flight and use a much smaller HP engine and fuel flow. The big power needed for climb is electric and rotary. Such a system could be 5 litres a hour including climb instead of 15 hr. Figures are just made up but this will be the future esp when combined with solar cells on ground and on wings. Battery and controller can be much smaller and lighter. Eg only needs 50 HP for a short 5mins etc and a 10 kg batt at most. The idea been the total weight of package including fuel,batt,systems and small rotary are the same as a original system and fuel full on a much bigger tank. So for a range if 600 kms instead of 60 liters it would use only 25 liters. In theory. The more slippery the better. Hybrid will be a very big deal in 10 years.

At least with a bike, a cold ride can be stopped and shelter sought in the warm embrace if a beer holding bar. My twin wants to sail to Antarctica one day with me. That will be brass monkey cold.

Distort and corrupt the financial markets, No sanction. Thousands of bankers and tellers/ sales staff need criminal sanction. As do the banks as a entity.
