  4. Did you go around Albury or get clearance to go through?
  5. Went for a no reason fly out to Inglewood this morning. I then went on to Millmerran and home via Clifton. Smooth all the way, and I wasn't in too much trouble with the wife and kids when I got home.
  6. Hay Skip, you know how sometimes people think that you are a bit of a dick, it's cause of posts like this.
  7. Do you mean on the Mount it came with? You all do realise that I'm pulling the idle back to make it spin and shake. At 3000 rmp it's nice and smooth. Also yes I replaced it. It is been in the golf buggy for a few years now.

  10. $350, not $2. Never plays up my other aircraft.
  11. My tablet shuts down when it gets too hot in the Cherokee. I have ozrunways on two tablets and a phone, but I still carry paper maps and a ersa. (Might not be current, but it will get me home)
  12. Plan your own 25nm Nav. Try Boonah to Grandchester (24 nm) Then to Lake Maroon (33 nm) Then Tamborine Village (32 nm) and finally back to Boonah (25 nm) You are never more than 25 nm from Boonah and get a 4 leg nav of about 1.5 hours. I used to similar navs out of Archerfield when I was training.
  13. I call Avgas "AvGas" Do you call it AvPetroleum?
  14. Topped up my Hilux yesterday morning. Fill up my Cherokee this morning. I never would have believed that Avgas would be cheaper than Diesel.
  15. I believe crazy Dave brought it after Ron crashed it into the trees. (engine failure) It had a proper rotary aircraft engine in it.
  16. I use a twin-engine manifold pressure gauge. I first connect it to one manifold to make sure they read the same, then connect the left to the left and right to right and sit in the aircraft and check at various rpm's
  17. My father in law had a Tecnam P2008. Every time you pulled the carb heat knob your feet got hot. It might have said carb heat on the knob, but it went to the cabin heat. (Came that way from the factory)
  18. Me too, mine tells everyone that I'm her favourite son in law....(I'm the only son in law)
  19. Thank you both for the reply. I wasn't sure if Ken was still repairing the Xcom. Kiwi
  20. Hi Mark, I have a intermittent fault code "PLL FAIL" on my Xcom, sometimes won't transmit but will receive, and sometimes won't transmit or receive. Checked the radio back in the hangar and it was working fine again. Any idea on what the fault code means? Thanks, Kiwi.
