  1. Silly question, it's not under one of the seats of the aircraft is it. Mine was missing. (In my own hangar) it had fallen off the windscreen and was under the seat.
  2. Any one got a half life A4A, A3A, A4N or A4M lying around? Got a 140 that needs more power. 🫡
  3. The weights and C of G in your file "weight 2" are at empty weight, the C of G you state from Jabiru are at MTOW. Where does the C of G sit when you are in the pilots seat with both zero fuel and at full fuel? Lots of aircraft are forward of C of G when empty.
  4. In the Lockyer Valley area Flightradar24 won't pick you up unless you are above 3500 to 4 thousands feet. We are in a very busy area between Archerfield and Toowoomba, I put in a request to host a unit but was declined, and while it is only for people on the ground to watch on FR24 it is handy to check if your Skyecho is working.
  5. I'll try a old set, thanks for the reply.
  6. Do you get feedback through your headsets from the skyecko? I'm getting a lovely ticking noise through mine. Does not seem to make a difference where I mount mine. I have tried two different Skyecko units and they both do it. (PA-28 140)
  7. Yes, but you have build of a star picket.
  8. Please check that propeller rotation is the same as the Rotax 912 before you set the offset.
  9. Updated this morning, went for a fly and all seems ok.
  10. I've never had the problems you described so went onto Ozrunways and yes there seems to be a few problems since the last update, won't let me change altitudes or LSALT. Definitely has issues that weren't there last weekend.
  11. When flying local I don't show up on Flightradar 24 until I'm above around 4500 feet.
  12. If you want a laugh at shipping charges, take a look at this. It would fit in a A4 bubble wrap pack. (No I didn't buy it)
  13. Risk of electrical fire was the part that caught my attention.
  14. I wouldn't use aluminium cables, Piper issued a SB years ago about aluminium starter cables, can get a STC to replace them with copper.
  15. Is the thrust line of Rotax correct?
  16. I don't see any VFR waypoints on your $15 piece if paper, plenty on Ozrunways.
  17. https://www.flyingmag.com/continental-engine-issue-drives-grounding-of-cirrus-sr22s-other-aircraft/ "call for a specific inspection of the crankshaft counterweight retaining ring within 5 hours for those new or rebuilt engines with less than 200 hours in operation since installation"
  18. Get some of the 6mm door molding trim about 75mm long and stick it in the thrust line at the trailing edge on the side you are pushing the rudder. If to much try a shorter piece, not enough make it longer.
  19. For the one I posted.... At one metre it takes about 4 minutes for 20 litres, on the wing it takes just under 3 minutes. I should have mentioned that the spike is about 35mm wide and doesn't fit all drums. Fits my red "Scepter" drums not the black ones or my other red ones (SCA from Supercheap)
  20. The original poster stated he has no problem getting the 10 litre drum up high enough, but getting the fuel in the tank is the problem. This is nothing like a siphon and would solve his problem.
  21. Only used it for the Piper and car, if you can get it within a metre it would work fine.
  22. Try one of these. Put drum on wing, turn on and pull nozzle trigger, runs on 2 "d" batteries and lasts for ages.
  23. Not mandatory going by CASA, the wording is "should"
  24. Did them at Archerfield in the mid 90's, request low level circuits and if they can accommodate they will let you. (Never said no to me)
