Not in the habit of delivering hollow platitudes - I asked a valid question of what appears (I may be wrong) to be a draggy, fairly low powered aircraft,  that has had considerable weight & drag added, so that the proud owner can land on water or terra firmer.

 

I ask again - How may this have effected it's performance, in particular its range? 

 

The true believer acted with predictable aggression but no answer and you my friend would seem to have bought into his dogma.

 

While I am all for personal faith - trying to convince others (yourself) that the utilitarian Savannah is "nice looking" is ridiculous. Its a very popular aircraft, for many good reasons, but nice looking??? - you jest.😈

i think it is a nice looking savannah. 

there is a foxbat on floats at our club same powerplant , it works.

lots of 582 powered xairs on floats , and i am sure there are other examples so i can't see the savannah having a problem.

I have actually travelled in a Bristol Wayfarer - I was a child, so only memory fragments - saw a car being loaded into the belly/hold. 😈

pretty sure i saw one of those at the moorabbin musuem the other day. the front was opened up.

The TAA ones came from Pakistan. When Parked sideways on a slope the doors couldn't be closed or opened. The fuselage distorted too much. In PNG many strip were sloped. Nev

Yes - they were known as Bristol Freighter in the UK. They used to fly out of Southend Airport in Essex across the channel to France and Belgium. I remember them flying over my house as a kid.
