Yes, I love PhotoShop, as that obviously is..

HOWEVER, the following is, from what I can tell, unfortunately REAL 037_yikes.gif.f44636559f7f2c4c52637b7ff2322907.gif

Am I right in thinking thats a concept twin from Jabiru?

My own preference would be for a similar one with the rotaryaxes, but I suppose you get what you pay for to some extent!

Good on them for at least moving forward.

Is that what happens when you leave a Jab and a 337 in the same hangar overnight?

The Jabiru 337 is better looking than that South African thing! 022_wink.gif.2137519eeebfc3acb3315da062b6b1c1.gif

Forgetting the photo is a joke, given the SE performance on a C337 (or more correctly the lack of performance) I can't imagine why anyone would want to copy it.

That sounds logical as there would be a lot of pushing and pulling.kiss.gif.b85e4cbf93c012b498aab8fe7d5a5fe6.gif.

How about this?

Sikorsky S38 Air Yacht, I want one! Sikorsky built some wonderful flying boats.

EDIT - here is my favourite period pic of an S38 which was owned by actress Sunny Jarman and her husband, they did a world tour in it in IIRC 1932

Good work HITC. I re-read some Biggles books recently just for fun, and from memory I think one of them involved him taking an S-38 on an adventure to South America.

I just did the same thing recently. 062_book.gif.f66253742d25e17391c5980536af74da.gif According to that authority on everything (Wikipedia): "After the Great War, Biggles' adventures as a freelance charter pilot took him around the world in an unidentified amphibian named the "Vandal" (often illustrated on covers, anachronistically, as either a Supermarine Walrus or Supermarine Sea Otter). The nearest "real" aircraft that fits W E Johns description of the "Vandal", is a Vickers Viking Mk 4."

But I like your S-38 idea much better!

Not an Aircraft, but a pilot. Can anyone tell me the name of the Pilot who flew joy flights in a Tiger Moth out of Surfers Paradise Raceway in the early 1980's ??
