Video on Ch 7 this morning of an airliner landing at WSI. It drifted left of the centreline, touched down with the left u/c almost touching the white sideline, continued left over the paved shoulder and onto the grass before correcting and getting back on the runway.

My efforts, not the same category - when I landed yesterday, the wind had changed from a headwind to a 90 degree blustery X wind.

Gust caught me on flaring - ballooned & moved sharply across runway. Held my nerve and we touched down on runway edge - all good until turning to backtrack, another gust hit me as I turned, causing a sharp over rotation (the delights of tail wheel). Straightened out and backtracked, with caution to parking. Flying, even on the ground, is a challenge, in large part ,that's why we do it.😈

Which Airline?  You have to be a bit lucky running on grass or you will break through and bog quickly, with very bad consequences.  ( Sorry about that, It should have gone earlier). It's up to the PIC  to assess the conditions and  BOTH His (and the Planes ) Limits. Nev

Clean or renew undies / nickers added to the post flight maintenance list🙃. Been there done that although much smaller lighter. Glad to hear all good.
