skippydiesel Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I debated where and if I should list this very important enquiry. Suckers! You know what I mean, don't pretend you don't. Those concave rubberish disk thingies (technical term), that hold your phone, GPs, whatever, bracket, to the window. My question is:- When the sucker bit starts to perish & won't stay "stuck" for as long as when new - what do you do? Is there: A repair/renewal technique? Some secret web stores, that will supply a new replacement? Must I dig deep and spend the kids inheritance on a whole new bracket with sucker? Please do not suggest drilling holes or using adhesive pads. Thanks 😈
facthunter Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago They have a fairly short effective life especially if they get in the sun. You can't fully rely on them either. Nev

Garfly Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago And, at our age, I'd be so bold as to suggest adhesive pads. 1
BurnieM Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) You need to replace the suction cup or mount. Phone/GPS mount suction cups will last much longer if you remove them from the windscreen/window when they are not being used and then reapply them next time you want to use them. You can get over 5 years out of them this way. The perspex/glass the suction cup is attached to is heat cycled daily and as well as eventually causing it to fall off also shortens the cups life.
