    Found them, the range is just so NARROW it will cook most radios at either end of the frequency range. Mobile 1 Ground plane independent VHF aerial system

    Could be because they are flying over the mountain that they suddenly get into huge up winds travelling up the mountain that exceed the G limits of the trike ? that's what it looks like to me and if it is the 2nd time at the same place it would reinforce that there is meteorological involvement

    You are kidding ? There are probably more 4-stroke Rotax powered planes flying with IFA and CS prop's than fixed, especially in the past 15 years.

    The same happened to a young Japanese paraglidder pilot who was flying out near Manila in New South Wales. The temperatures were close to 40° and they found her frozen body 24-hours later apparently still rockhard except for the thin layer of skin which had thawed out.

    was driving home yesterday afternoon and grabbed this photograph looking towards the east. This is a cloud out over the ocean just off the Gold Coast. Pretty powerful activity going on, the photograph doesn't really do it justice

    it has been known for a while that they are sourcing engines new at retail prices, they are purchasing used engines with low hours from aircraft accidents and in some cases engines are even being stolen from aircraft. This has been public for about 4 years

    We all get deceived sometimes, mine was when I married a petite young girl with a really pretty smile. The only time I see her teeth now is when she is trying to bite me !

    WOW that's ugly/strange ? it's amazing how you become so used to a particular shape that when you see a change it looks so bizarre. It is obviously a short fuselage version as well

    apparently Rylstone have a couple of bunks set up for visitors and people transiting through the area that can't get over the hill into the Sydney basin because of weather around Mount Victoria and the closed airspace around Williamstown/Richmond. They are also happy to take you in town where there are dozens of accommodation options

    what if you open the largest snap vents facing into the wind ? they quite happily pressurize the cockpit. I wouldn't have a clue if it isn't enough however to stop carbon monoxide but it is a lot of wind and if you open and close the vents it can make your ears pop if you do it quick enough.

    it may go out the exhaust pipe properly if it is perfectly intact, but a lot of the two-stroke engines crack where the manifold exits the engine due to vibration but hey, what would I know, thousands of hours in trikes in the early days. I guess you are saying practical experience doesn't apply in the circumstances

    quite easily in fact, when you're sitting in front of the trike you are creating a huge vacuum behind you as well as the vacuum in the front cowling. This vacuum can pull fumes through the back skirt from the engine area. In my thousands of hours of trike flying I could smell fuel just after takeoff when I would overfill the tank for a big adventure and on one day I could actually smell coolant, looked behind me and there was a leak! Even though you don't think it is possible, it is possible !

    Ears would be my guess, probably fluid in there. Get it checked out, also prednisolone/predsolone under script will help dry out the canals

    This means the site WAS hacked if they are able to upload malicious programs. This is no good, I will have to go and change passwords etc. AGAIN. Why can this happen, is it your computer Admin, or is it the computer of some of other moderators which is infected.
