  3. It's recognised by anyone who knows about hybrids that the ICE Motors get a Hard time. Also that the Fuel/HP is Poor with a Wankel design and the reason is excess combustion chamber AREA to volume which is inherent in the design. Sealing will also always be a challenge as well as distortion with VERY uneven heating. Nev
  4. Interesting, but they are not fuel efficient, for reasons I have explained. and the engine oiling is similar to a 2 stroke so I can't see how it would Pass Pollution standards easily. Hybrid motors get a Hard time. Nev

  6. They aren't made any more. They are too thirsty and Polluting. .They don't chuck bit's out the side like reciprocating Engines do. Nev

  8. The Problem with most of those "whacky" motors is sealing the Pressure and the area of the combustion Chamber. I NEVER ever believed the SARICH engine would be a Goer and it wasn't. The Wankel at Least went into Production mostly due to the Persistence of Mazda (Toyo Cogio?) but it's not thermally efficient or able to meet tight Pollution standards. . Nev
  9. I found Insects blocking the AIR/Cond and Radiator core to be a bit of an issue. IF you are towing you have the Pedal well down to keep up and if you slipstream you get less cooling air. Road surface Temps can be High, I would always check all Belts and oil and Filters Air Cond and coolant and tyres before driving the Nullabor with a Second Hand Vehicle of unknown Background. Nev

It's not the way to discuss things Airspeed indicators are not that accurate on most U/Ls and you should be able to fly a safe circuit without an ASI. No marks lost IF you fly it a bit fast. It would pay to err on the high side.. You don't fly chasing airspeed also. The attitude of the Aircraft is what you direct your Effort on Consider energy management also in your flying. Experience gained helps but self debriefing in a very honest way will drive improvement of technique and knowledge base. . Career Pilots get the Full workover on check rides and New endorsements where any bad habits might have crept in. When you stop learning you will become risky. That's an exciting thing about flying.   13. Fly balanced otherwise if you get slow you will drop a wing. At low level looking at the ground will give ILLUSIONS of slipping and speed you do not have as airspeed. This stuff is basic and should have been thoroughly taught and understood early in your training. Nev
  14. Study Principals of flight, I should not have to reach you BASICS here. It goes right back to S&L when you should have flown level across a range of speeds and configurations. Level turns. What do you do with Power entering and leaving a level turn? IF you're climbing with max power and the speed drops, it's the same as gliding you Lower the Nose,. Nev

  18. You should be working for Netflix with the Quality of that Production. 1 Hour in a Jet approximates a days driving. You might need a new bonnet cable too. Plenty of Hyundai Parts in Ballarat.   19. Lots of vans do high Mileages and lots of stop start. Buy New. There's NO reason their reliability would be less than anything else In general they would be mechanically simpler Since the early 70's I've always had a Van. They are a way of life. Nev
