Found this on E-bay... I believe they are both Scouts, a MK1 and a MK2.
I am sure someone will be interested in acquiring these.
Regards,
Winsor

- The Skycraft Scout is thought to be the world's first commercial ultralight aircraft. Created by Ron Wheeler, the Mk 1 was sold with an engine derived from Victa Lawnmowers. Later versions adopted the Fuji Robin engine. Hundreds of lightweight Australians in the 1970's learned to fly with this simple aircraft and it's very brief instructional handbook.

Low airfares are no excuse for shoddy maintenance practices... It is wages that the real cuts have been made.

Welcome Steve... Read about you in the latest Ra-Aus mag.
I will be voting in your region... here is your platform. Tell us what you can do for Ra-Aus please.

Swears Island in the Gulf...

The rumors are true... You are a bloody legend!!!
Haven't changed to proper english yet but I could of sworn that rumor had a 'u' in it...

My mistake... I thought Jetstar had pulled out already.
That is a bit disappointing to hear.

I don't think we can assume that Virgin doesn't like ultralights just because they are the only airline still flying into Proserpine...virgin doesn't like ul's that's a shame i like virgin -
I was thinking the same thing riding my GSX750f back from Monto... couldn't find anything online except a really noisy gyro copter in the states... and I can't find that again either.

Can I do it for Google Chrome?

Australian shipping ports have the same thing as our ASIC and the same fencing and security. Why is it, that the aviation industry has been singled out. With security measures like the ASIC.What about other industries ? Eg- Shipping, or Transport.I am all for airliners having strenghten cockpit doors, i am all for Airmarshalls/skymarshalls.But i dont get, why a airfield in the middle of nowhere, has to be fully fenced and be a "security Airport", because once a week a RPT a/c lands there. Then 10 miles away you can have a non security airfield, "no RPT no worries". -
Ian,
I have the new HTC Desire (same as Darky)... I am happy with it.
As regards to which phone it really seems to depend on which carrier/plan you are on... In my experience up this way the only option is a Telstra phone... the other carriers don't offer the coverage (even if the customer service is mostly lacking). It cost nothing for the new phone on a the cap plan I am on.
This being my first phone with apps I am still amazed at what it can do... I even found an app for a simple EPIRB... phone takes a serious knock and sends a message to a preset number... I imagine these phones are not too far off replacing the laptop I am using to interact with the site.

Dj,
You are correct... The problem as I see it is that a refusal in this circumstance is of course acceptable, with the way things are you may have your flying privileges knocked on the head while it is all sorted out. I am just guessing... but would not want to be the first to test these waters.
-
Bill... I think your posts are informative... But please be aware that you do come across as very, very condescending and insulting sometimes... I think it is way out of line... Darky is correct and you owe her an apology.
I hope you don't carry yourself like this in person... if you do you must live a very interesting life.
Please... Stop doing it... But keep on posting.

A refusal to comply with a test carries the same penalty as a positive result... So refusing is not an option. Sure you may win in the end but, meanwhile you will be grounded... (according to CASA's own regs)I wouldn't have gone back to the airport.I have a real problem with the method of testing applied but agree wholeheartedly with testing...

The story as I heard it is that a gentlemen built a Foxcon Terrier, put the final touches on it at Proserpine Airport and then attempted his own test flight... stalled on takeoff and died. The council banned Ultralights.
Word on the street is that the locals will be contesting the ruling soon...

Lucky he wasn't throwing bottles of beer out... now that would have really hurt!
P.S. Drugs are bad! Okay?

You just gotta say what the heck and do it...
I had a nice holiday last Xmas and paid for some of it on the credit card... plan was to have it paid off by now but an Ra-Aus school started here a few weeks after I got back... so the credit card has a little bit of a bump still in it but at least I am flying. I don't pay for it on credit so it doesn't increase my debt... just paying interest I could be avoiding other wise.
And I am lucky cause Mrs Wins has no problem and encourages me to fly... I am one lucky dude!!!

Thanks Darky...

Thanks Ian.

I just signed in to the site on my new Htc Desire mobile phone. It worked but it was really, really tiny... I mean really itsy bitsy tiny!!!
I wonder if it would be possible to have an app for Android/Iphone that would allow us to send photos direct to this site such as we can do now with facebook/twitter etc from these new phones now as well as check the latest posts.

I have an idea... How about a group of us put in a few bucks each and purchase them for the Ra-Aus museum on behalf of the Recreational Flying Website?
Anyone interested?
