2. SANTA ANA IN LATER LIFE WHILE

    GETTING INTO THE XMAS SPIRIT

WHEN HE WAS A BIGGER TARGET,

    HITTING THE TEQUILA AND CUBANS.

It was after this photo was taken that the US Government realised he was an ongoing bad influence, and Presidenty Bush changed his surname to Claus and banned alcohol and tobacco advertising on Santa photos. Up until the Santa had outrated every scantily clad model in history.

  3. .....curd.

Not many people know that OneTrack's grandfather, Colonel TwoTracks was in what became the US Army, but at the time of the Alamo was just a collection of men who got things done (GTD),

like Davy Crocket, Jim Bowie, Colonel Travis, Colonel Turbine, Captain Dickens, Colonel HoHo, Indian Scouts sitting bull, Bandit7, Jerry_Atrick 1, Old Kiwi , Old OneTrack, Een Soars Like An Eagle and 180 more.

Most of Texas at that time was inside the Mexican border, which was good for the Mexicans becaise they didn't have to climb over a wall to get into the United States, but some people are never happy and started complaining about the US food or something and General Santa Ana was sent to sort things out. He knew Texas was only defended by 184 troops, so he took along an army of 5,000. "Will that be enough?" asked a nervous Sergeant Gonzales. "I THEENK so" replied the General whose English wasn't so good.

Some more history. Some people think it was unfair that the US had invaded Mexican land, but in fact the two most ferocious Indian tribes lived there, the Commanche and Apache, and had made a habit of razing whole towns, scalping the men and taking the women off to breed more Indians. Geronimo was the most ruthless chiel, so there were no Mexicans left in Texas and only a few hundred frontier settlers who managed to survive by hiding in gopher borrows.

Colonel TwoTracks could see there was a problem from the cloud of dust coming, so he invited them to dinner at the Alamo, a kind of early Caltex Service Station without the gas pumps.

The Mexicans couldn't all fit in and that started a fight and under cover of the fights Santa Ana..........

  4. .......a coup. Xi started, like an over-fueled Yamaha 80 when you have to start iot for your son, and said "Who is it Turbo!?"

"Sorry, have to go now and check the farms, but I've taken care of it, not going to happen" and that dear readers is how to make a friend for life, which in this case was going to be rather short because......

  5. .....looked like it was going to get out of hand untoll Turbo took Xi aside and said "Leave it for a while until this CV blows away and Victoria is firmly locked into the belt and braces regime, and talking to each other about the esteemed Friendly Country (FC) and its clever Leader, and offered himself as a possible Premier at that time while doing an unbelievable ball point on the napkin deal with Xi to take 3,000 tonnes of meat per year from his "stock" farms, to .........

  6. I mentioned one of thread that there was news that Andrews was seeking to extend some of the extaordinary powers into normal life afterwards because it was easier for police to round up the crooks (paraphrasing).

That can't happen unless the people want it that way and both houses of Parliament vote for it and they would be scared of the backlash.

There are two actions which trigger over-riding powers:

    (a) a declaration of a State of Emergency, (in this case medical, so with the top medical people making the decisions).

    (b) a declaration of a State of Disaster, where again specialists for the disaster take over the critical decision.

Bot are declared for a fixed time, so just as they start to get excited about running the State they're out of a job.

  7. Have heard it postulated that the buildings were designed with eventual demolition in mind. Israeli firm had the security contract over the centre. Sounds crazy, I know, but lifespan of buildings is not now unlimited. If there is any truth in this then it could be a plus to a future buyer. As stated, WTC 7 came down with no aircraft collision and the owner deciding to "pull it " 30 mins before it collapsed in a controlled demolition. Pools of molten steel were found in the rubble of the 2 towers. Molten steel!

    Utter BS!

There was no intention of a short life, the reason for the design, as I mentioned has been explained by the designer.

  8. Fact: There has been no known collapse of steel framed high rise buildings due to fire damage before or following the WTC debacle. The 3rd building to be destroyed (WTC 7) on that day was not even hit by anything except (possibly) some debris from the twin towers' collapse hours beforehand. It suffered some localised fire damage to a few floors. That these buildings collapsed at free fall velocity on their own footprint is ONLY possible if they had been demolished by controlled explosive demolition charges.

There's no magic here either. There was a documentary on the reason for the collapse, and the Engineer responsible for the design outlined the reasons he went for a non-standard construction, and how in doing that he created a design where if it failed in one area a chain reaction would overload the others.

He took responsibility for the design failure that caused the collapse of the buildings which I thought was a very responsible thing to do.

  9. ......Charlene. Turbo is stunned that the Captain has breached long-standing tradition and mentioned the esteemed Treasurer of the GG ARSL. Charlene was a gunner in Afghanistan, and if you where unlucky enough to be on the ground when she was in the air your number was up. She never used less than 30 shots, and there were claims from the Taliban that she should be sent home becaise it was too hard to identify the victims. These days she was pretty much the same in the Club, and it was said that...................

  10. .” ......bring your stash with you; we’re sick of having to carry it.”

Turbo became all tears as he saw a young Cappy reacting to the pressure-point management techniques of the Kennett era, and the closing footage of a younger Turbo before he hid his face from the public.

It seemed like only yesterday that......
