with a name like Nynja, you'd expect it to be all matte black with darkened windows and a quiet muffler! How cool would that be!
oh, welcome Ken!

I think it'd be a great idea, though i am not an instructor. Seems like a valuable resource for those who are! But would it need to be hidden from view? Seems like it could be informative to be able to view what instructors talk about, while not having the permission to post to that section. i'll let others chime in, but objectively it sounds like a good idea.

hi Gentreau, the landing fees i think are $10, and that is for the day so I only pay for the final full stop landing, not for stop-n-go's or touch-n-goes. So all up it is $205/hr whether its circuits or training area.

$195/hr + landing fees in a J170 from Bankstown NSW.

Curious, is this a legal requirement for being able to own and operate a Cessna under this program? for example, is there anything wrong with buying one of these cheapies such as was listed the other day in the classifieds, presuming you are otherwise satisfied with it, just to go hooning around the training area or whatever to build up hours, as long as it isn't used for commercial ops?
I see quite a few that probably haven't gone through SIDS and engine is "on condition", for < 20K. Definitely NOT worth it to buy one of those with the idea in mind of an overhaul and completing the SIDS and all that, but again if it looks OK otherwise, seems like a good deal as long as the emptor caveats and all that...
thoughts?

Hi Ian,
Sorry I didn't get back to you, but yeah 3 hours. Also, I wasn't using the iPad, just plain ol browser on my laptop (if you were still talking to me that is) so copy and paste worked fine.
Great stuff

fan-bloody-tastic!
Though, didn't we say that the temp/qnh intervals were 3 hours? Looks like they are in 1 hour here:
Time - Temp/QNH : [6am - 22/1017] [7am - 24/1018] [8am - 26/1018] [9am - 25/1017]

Congrats on the radio exam! Good job on the stalls lesson too, I also found it anticlimactic. Almost everyone I talk to says the same thing, wonder why it is there is such a build up?

You are driving in a car at a constant speed.
On your left side is a 'drop off' , (The ground is 18-24 inches below the level you are travelling on), and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same speed as you .....
In front of you is a galloping horse , which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it ...
Behind you is a galloping zebra . Both the horse and zebra are also travelling at the same speed as you ...
What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation ?

welcome Peter! Is paragliding where you jump off a high place such as a mountain and glide your way to the bottom under a steerable parachute? If so, I remember once when i was in Bozeman, MT USA I was hiking up one of the local mountains with some mates and there were a couple of guys doing that, and I remember thinking how much fun that looks and how serene it seems just floating your way down. That was before I started flying lessons, but the memory stuck with me... have to try it some day.
cheers!
