By the way!, not Bindi's but the bigger sharper "Cathead's", my 4wd had hundreds of them stuck into the tyres very tight.
Out Dubbo way,

Hi CT
What amount of slime per tyre?.
I have cut an old tube to use as a cap over the new tube making the tube wall twice as thick, if the slime leaks between the tube & cap it should glue the two together.

A farmer buy's a new top of the line Holden-Caprice every year!.
One year it was so badly soiled the dealer took the plates off & had it driven away from the suburb to be abandoned.
PS the farmer carried pigs in it!

I've got my Old crystal receiver but don't think it'll pick up anything now the long wave has washed away. Also have my Morse practise set put away, don't know why, I'll never use it.

Apologies from me too JakeJ. Do hope to see you on the forum again.

Hi. JakeJ, I'm hopping you will change your mind & stay with us here, I and all members, (including cranky ones) have a need of you, as your input is far more important then any I could give.
If the ACMA, can give permission to a certain company, Why o Why do they threaten individuals with such dire consequences for getting caught with a "non-compliant radio",
The permit issued by the ACMA imposed conditions on Icom Aus, including that it: " warns users that the IC-A15 is non-compliant".
My HH radio was compliant, but putting it on a different battery system, ( 9v nimh pack) makes it non-compliant, & the ramp checkers will get me,
So big fines for having my radio, or being Legal without one. Even to walking on the field with it switched off is illegal. Am I right or wrong.

Not just one item for a ultralight aircraft, but three!, To have a Mandated RX, you will need a battery plus an alternator.
That of course means a "95-10" aircraft will be above its maximum take-off weight.
Why not a "Hand-Held" simple, There's none approved in Australia.
Community TV has been shut down by this government, even thou their equipment is licence to a future year, their transmitting licence has been withdrawn.
The government can wipe all transmitting licences any time it feeling uppity.
Perhaps that's the intention, to wipe home built aircraft from the skies.

The "flight cert " does not cover use on the ground, like an ground marshal/ controller.
spacesailor
-
I know two planes WITH RX., that didn't survive, 1st went around in ever increasing circles over Wellington NZ, talking ALL the time to ATC until they ran out of fuel!. ( in cloud)
Number two has a film "The flight of the Stinson" , which is easily obtainable,
As I was unable to pass the BAK test, plus being refused registration of the HummelBird, I don't need a "radio certificate Flight" but would like a "radio certificate GROUND".
Now were do I go to sit my next test for a GROUND vhf radio certificate.

I think a very old film I saw, should be mandatory viewing , its title is "1984 big brother is watching you" or something close to that.
I have more than one radio operators certificate but now need a "ground to air radio certificate".
Has any one on this forum got one!.

I have given up!,
Did as requested by RAA, got my preregistration number's , slowly put my learning skills to work with a rivet- gun.
Almost completed, THEN they changed the 95-10, to include a never before mentioned "Wing-Loading".
It's Not on any of the forms that I received prior to the start of building.
Just another load to go to the scrap-yard to be weighed in, as I have no intention to go VH with a two pot HummelBird

What happens when a low time pilot meets a Casa ramp check inspector, And he hasn't passed that radio exam yet!,
Will said inspector tell him to return the borrowed Hand Held RX to it's owner?.
spacesailor.

Please enlighten me? A couple of years back I wanted to upgrade my old hand held radio, but was told, Casa had special requirements that were not manufactured at that time, are said H,H., radio's now available. For my none battery plane.

I sympathize with you FT, as to the blood sweat & tears. I tried picking the suckers out with fingers, (fat chance)
but ended up using long nose pliers, Then gave up & scrapped them off with my poo spade, LoL, before getting
back onto the blacktop.
PS I asked the land owner & was told , "he'd given up spraying as there were more every year"
