I have "Repco" on the fuel-pump of one 582 motor!.

Hi Bruce,
The braid has to be earthed at both ends to disperse any residue volt-spikes IMH opinion (very humble ) LoL

In the "Sydney Flying Club" trainer at the OAKS.
I believe three in 18 month's, like me in my avatar . CFI said I took off to quick, the tail wheel must hit the runway I suppose.

I wonder if you "twisted" the egt/cht wires it could stop the induced voltage?.

The A22-foxbat doesn't like it's tail-wheel to be used, has to be replaced quite often.
But I love that plane.

One more,
If you use premix, does the auto-lube-pump need any lubrication?, or can it be run dry, would hate to hear bad noises after a few minute running without oil in the reservoir.

Loved it

CASA, DOS'NT understand!
Must be too many lawyers in that room after all.
spacesailor
-
Same rules!.
CASA Uses lawyer-speak,
if it takes a room full of lawyer's to write the rules. Fat chance of a lay person under-standing a hand full of sentences per book.

Many thanks for the reply. Bruce.
I would have thought the extra induced volts would make the gauge read higher than normal.

Please keep us posted.

The "Concord" flew V2 in France, with a punctured wing tank, well above V1 and no chance of stopping on the ground safely or not safe.
We all read the aftermath of that

Thanks Arthur.
But it would be wise to get the "wing-loading" spec before you think about spending dollars.
And of course being a home built I could add a large Parawing, say a Hummer-chute.
And of course leave the 20 foot wing on for the good looks.

Perhaps a little corrosion on the push-on terminals at back of gauge,
If so, a very little "Lanolin grease" would help.

And the wing loading of
SF-1 Archon Aerosports gr"
IS?

Hi M6A1,
Part of their criteria is ALL parts of aircraft are to be marked with ID.,
I marked mine with the "Interim registration number" 10-1103, And painted rego no., on wings / fuselage.
I suppose I could hand stamp big X's over every part I've machine stamped.
then what, be told to identify all the bits again,
they never said anything about "wing loads" before building, & there was "Terry Hinze" flying his legally under the 10-xxxx.
so never thought there was any problem with the "HummelBird" design.
16 builders were on my build list in Australia. I don't know any going to 19 or 24 /10- 95/55
And to wait for the builder to finish, and try to get full registration !.

And:
The" wing loading" is ?.
Don't be fooled building a plane that wont be registrable.

I still have my 1st computer a "Sinclair zx81" only did a quick run through, put it back in the box, & there it stayed.

BIG thank you, Jetboy.
That link is fascinating. Will have to pull out my box of HP manual's, plugins, and programs, to see if any of it has survived, being stored away for such a long time.
Every-one thought I was crazy buying such a very expensive calculator, now they're worth as much as the new price,
( so I bought another one, c & cv. )

Hi Andy s
That's right "Reverse Polish Notation", don't know why it didn't catch on as it seems very "Logical"
Just like "Esperanto" very logical ( but not practical).

oops I digress

OLDK,
The Hp 41 that the astronauts used, wasn't a GPS dependent but could still put you on to the Rumb-line, or do the ded-reckoning and lots of other nav calculations.
The big snag here is getting the N type batteries. the keypad doesn't have an equal sign, the input makes that key obsolete.

Hi,
You do realize there's more ships sunk do to the "lodestone" compass than anything else.
For the weight of the compass you can have multiple backup GPS gadgets, the men who went to the moon had two HP 41 calculators in their pockets, and they didn't miss their target.
