I would finish your plane, the cost of a PPL isn't cheap and once you get it flying GA to maintain currency is expensive.

I have seen so many accident reports where the pilot gets to within 50" of the ground and have the plane stall, it just doesn't seem like that big a risk.

Abandoning good judgement and process with this recruitment looks like the exec last little payback to the members for complaining. It will be interesting to see who on the board objects to this process.

Most impacts with the ground are fatal, where as most car accidents are not.

BRS handle is simple: turn and pull. Maybe you need to watch that video of the Rans S-9 crashing again. It goes from a fatal accident to survivable one pretty quickly.

Bill, the BRS system is designed to deploy across a wide range of conditions. a 1000' deployment wouldn't be an issue. even at 100' it will slow you somewhat, might not save your life but at least you won't be a pizza

bad idea. the RAA does not appreciate criticism and has demonstrated with Ian when they know who the individual is that they will use what ever means to harass them.

I got a nexus7 3g, its got a cranking processor, awesome screen and the latest android but its not that well made. after 20days the glue that hold the speaker and USB port started failing. took asus 10 days to action the repair.
