My neighbour took up one of those "no win, no fee" deals, after being completely left out her mothers will, with all the estate left to her two brothers.
What should have been a fairly easy situation to resolve, resulted in her being awarded almost 70grand, then the solicitor relieved her of 59 1/2 of it.
I understood that provided you were mentioned in the will, and even only left $1, you could not even contest it?
As is usual, she was initially told it should be an easy matter to resolve, and the fees would probably no more than a few grand and she'd get the balance. YEA RITE!

Didn't hear him say check fuel level for flight:yikes:

Man who flys Star Jet must have shallow pockets and too much spare time.

Looks like they're making progress with the restoration.
Anyone who's interested can follow it here http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/news/lancaster-nx611-return-to-flight/?page=1

Thanks bex, that video clip was so useful.
We have a Turboplanner on here as you know, but he has never mentioned anything about his encabulator.
I guess he wants to keep it to himself, along with his transoidal thrupple pulleys.
Good luck with the progress of the engine, you've certainly aroused a lot of interest on here.
How long do you estimate it'll take before you get a prototype up and running?
Kind Regards

Confuscious also say------------Pilot who flys without thorough pre-flight, is plane stupid.

Earplugs are pretty cheap these days Doug, then you don't have to put up with hearing the firemans plea "more hose, more hose", but I know how you feel mateOnly thing it did foe me was to give me 'the head-ache'. Literally.
-
Thanks for that Biggles. So good to know your mate is OK.Just received information about the 230 crash, it was a result of fuel starvation. Belongs to a mate of mine. -
Viagra - is a bit like going to Disney Land.
A half-hour wait for a 3-minute ride.

I never knew that Nev, ( we learn something new every day)Cricketers are funny. They can bowl a maiden over and get away with it. They polish their balls on their trousers too. NevBut i'd trust your wise judgement:puzzled: ,possibly from a another past experience of yours?

A lady walked into a Police Station and the desk Sergeant
said "Can I help you?"
"Yes" she said, "I'd like to report a case of sexual assault".
"Where did it happen?" the Sergeant asked.
"In the park just down the road" she replied.
"Can you describe what happened?"
"Yes, I was walking along the footpath in the park near the trees when a man jumped out of the bushes and dragged me in there, removed my underwear then he dropped his pants to his knees and had his way with me".
"Could you give me a description of him?"
"Yes, he was wearing white shoes, long white trousers, awhite shirt and he had these two big long pads from his feet up to and over his knees, one on each leg".
"Sounds to me like he was a cricketer, most probably a batsman", said the Sergeant.
"Yes", said the lady, "He was an Aussie Cricketer".
“That's very observant", said the Sergeant, "Presumably you worked that out from his accent?"
"No", she replied. "I worked it out for myself, because he didn't have a very long innings"

Thanks Mike,Appols to Nev then
, Planey I've tried a bit of RC, all fine heading away but turn back left is right, what? confusion - crash. I got a Helo once only to see it disappear over the trees and not bounce well next door.Oh and many happy returnsWell it's finished and ready to go, but i'll wait for the simulator to come from China to get a bit of practice first.
I couldn't get over the price of the sim direct from China. I would have thought that $26 odd would not have even covered the postage.
It's nothing like some of the classy models like Mick and others have shown us on here, but it looks pretty good, I reckon, and should be good fun.
Kind Regards

Yes Nev its 20ccWhat size is a 1.20? a .61 used to be 10 cc. Is it 20 cc?... Messier make brake assemblies for large planes. -
Happy Birthday Nev (old fart).
Hey Mike, it's Planey who had the Birthday and now qualifies as an old fart.
Nev stopped having them years ago:whisper:
Nev said QUOTE :
I reckon they might be harder to fly properly than the real thing. Nev
I found that to be the case some years ago, so today ordered a R/C simulator online from the same manufacturer as the kit.
At $26 odd delivered from China, I figured it would be a worthwhile investment, not only will it help me back into the R/C scene, but after a few weeks I might qualify for the l/h seat with Asiana.

G'day B200MAN, when you get a chance, take a quick look in the look in the rear-view mirror.
Judging by your avitar, it could be the tax man at this time of year. Hopefully not, but a big

OMG you blokes are such a bloody suspicious bunch!
Looks photoshop'd to me as well, but who am I stuff to stuff up a good post?

Today I received a FMS Cessna 182 R/C kit with 1.4mtr wingspan from my ex-daughter-in law for my Birthday.
Being an old fart who used used to build these sort of things out of sticks of balsa, etc; I was amazed at the precision of how well these modern "foamy"aircraft come together, complete with 6 channel digital R/C, led nav lights etc;
Having not flown R/C for quite a few years, I feel it would be wise to get someone in the know, to test fly and trim it, before I have a go.
Is this a wise thing to do, while I study the Chinese Model BAK?
At least with this one, I don't need to take 5 ltrs of washing up liquid to the flying field to get rid of the stink of the burned methanol and caster oil left on my hands and the car seats?

Maybe just a vacuum for the remaining foam chips at the end of the day.
At least Godfrey's have some good specials on!
