  1. Not having to pay $450 -$500 every two years would be great, the wife and kids don't like it when they get left at home.....
  2. I've never been cold in a Drifter..... Ok, maybe once or twice. videoplayback.mp4
  3. Thanks for that.
  4. I know it's probably a long shot, but does anyone have a Skyfox Gazelle nose spat lying around that they want to sell? Kiwi.
  5. We have tin roofs on ours, even added a gutter to collect the rain water. 12 years and they are still in great condition.
  6. Same story for me, no wind and clear skies when I looked out the window this morning, but my quick local flight ended up been a 250 nautical mile / 2.7 hour nav in the 140 Cherokee. Then after lunch a quick flight in the Drifter, followed by some circuits in the Rans S6S.
  7. I have one of these on my Rans S6S. Seems to work well.
  8. Am I reading this correctly? Was $1200, now $1500 .
  9. Lynfield, In the Lockyer Valley. Just to the east of YLWB (Breefield)
  10. Not fire proof, but should keep the cold and fumes out.
  11. Did you go around Albury or get clearance to go through?
  12. Went for a no reason fly out to Inglewood this morning. I then went on to Millmerran and home via Clifton. Smooth all the way, and I wasn't in too much trouble with the wife and kids when I got home.
  13. Hay Skip, you know how sometimes people think that you are a bit of a dick, it's cause of posts like this.
  14. Do you mean on the Mount it came with? You all do realise that I'm pulling the idle back to make it spin and shake. At 3000 rmp it's nice and smooth. Also yes I replaced it. It is been in the golf buggy for a few years now.
  15. I love B grade movies. Messenger_creation_996F4D26-14B3-4927-8205-B074CF8E5F4E.mp4
  16. I just got back from a cross country nav in my Drifter. 10 nm each way for a total engine time of .9, flight time .7 (Yes, it's quicker driving) Photo for proof......
  17. $350, not $2. Never plays up my other aircraft.
  18. My tablet shuts down when it gets too hot in the Cherokee. I have ozrunways on two tablets and a phone, but I still carry paper maps and a ersa. (Might not be current, but it will get me home)
  19. Plan your own 25nm Nav. Try Boonah to Grandchester (24 nm) Then to Lake Maroon (33 nm) Then Tamborine Village (32 nm) and finally back to Boonah (25 nm) You are never more than 25 nm from Boonah and get a 4 leg nav of about 1.5 hours. I used to similar navs out of Archerfield when I was training.
  20. I call Avgas "AvGas" Do you call it AvPetroleum?
  21. Topped up my Hilux yesterday morning. Fill up my Cherokee this morning. I never would have believed that Avgas would be cheaper than Diesel.
  22. I believe crazy Dave brought it after Ron crashed it into the trees. (engine failure) It had a proper rotary aircraft engine in it.
