    But not always. I made the mistake of thinking the postal service might just work so I purchased a pair of express post envelopes to post to Caulfield and back to Darraweit Guim. Cost $15.00 to get some papers signed. Sent 9am Monday 22 Nov. arrived at Caulfield Thurs 25 and posted back a few minutes later. As of today 2 Dec still no sight of mail. I could have walked there quicker. waste of money and time, the only thing about express is my frustration. Sorry for the thread drift but roses for Aust post, more like cow droppings.

    .....but even though a bit knocked about the suffering was still less than being hit by the bits of exploding ford 272 Y block engine. The fact is that even though it was actually a late model Customline star model 292 engine, those old Y blocks don't take kindly to super chargers. The hot oil mixed with bits of cast iron would be a bit hard on even the toughest stonefish......

    ......get about since they pulled his ticket for the low formation night flights. These flights were a very slight technical infringement of the rules. The argument went along the lines of being before sunset due to the "night sun" light on the Pol air hackelopter meaning it was still day light. The alleged flights took place after curfew when no people were about, as proven by chairman Dan's news promo {sorry news conference} stating that people were complying with the lock down rules so therefor the witness audience were not actually there. In the interests of safety the drunk bike owner at Young & Jacksons who also was not there will not ride his bike home without a light. The Thruster pilot did not have a light because there were no more bikes on the foot path outside the pub so he had to follow the Drifter close. In conclusion the several laps around the block of Swanson Bourke Elizabeth and Flinders streets were for practice to make the whole exercise safer and at at 10 feet it not so far to fall.......

    ......the curfew. The afore mentioned formation flight was carried out at night due to safety concerns. both aircraft were night rated and prepared for the job. The lead aircraft {Drifter} was fitted with a bicycle torch stolen from the parked bike at the front of the pub taped to the front of the pod, and the tail {Thruster} fitted with a red reflector stolen from a road sign and stuck to the rear of the fuel tank. .....

    ......but this was really only a con job to make it harder to trace the guilty. Blowing up the CASA inspectors car was just a tad naughty but the minor fact that not only was the inspector still in the car but also his assistant his adviser his secretary and his planner also. It would appear that CASA was a bit cross with it being exposed that not only loosing five dedicated staff but their four seat econobox was overloaded. That's right NES readers a CASA inspectors car more bums than seats but over MTOW. .......

    ........thruster by landing into wind which reduced the ground speed to zero then controlled the decent with power for a perfect vertical landing ......

    ......cussion is making it very hard {earth ref} to steer back to aviation....... Special report from Darraweit Guim regional airport, a visiting pilot queried why not shoot some of the kangaroos that make it hard to find a spot to land. And the answer is that beer is made from hops so we cannot shorten the supply line.

    ......you also had to understand basic arithmetic because the cord has a mass of 1/2 kilo per M. Also the voltage drop using OHMS law where P=ExI and E=IxR . The R value will depend on the inductive load using power factor {dynamic}. Assuming 0.8 for an electric motor. So using some assumptions as follows For a single phase supply of 240volt 30 horsepower motor. 30 horsepower at 746 watts per hp is 22.38Kw. using our formula I =P/E gives us over 93 amps which is a lot for a 10 amp cord. You are about to crash and burn

    Another point on the trusty old side valve, most of the combustion energy is expended trying to blow the head off the block not push the piston down.

    In other words a Thruster or Drifter you look between your knees 'coz thats where you are going. I heard it said that a Thruster pilot can throw his keys out at the moment the fan stops and from 5000 ft. will land exactly one aeroplane length past the keys. Howzat for thread drift ??? steering back to aviation !!!

    .....back as his mind returned to past posts and realized that the engine in a 1941 Ford Prefect is a side valve. About as powerful as a side valve Morry engine....... Side note does any NES reader remember why side valve engines are not all that suited to aviation??? ( captain I thought I would just chuck that one in for fun )

    Ok now we have to face up to some people stretching the truth a tad. The refined readers of NES may well see through some poetic license. 1/ no aircraft noise in DG ? We have three airstrips in DG 2/ Catholic girls collage ? No secondary schools in DG 3/ Asphalt to crash on ? Only through roads in DG are asphalt 4/ 15yo tittering girls ? You might find one 15 yo 5/ Footpath ? Yeah right where? 6/ Going to the airport came across the saw mill The saw mill is the other way I could go on but I won't. Maybee I have been conned into making a response by some very clever people just baiting
