I always used offsite parking in Brisbane, Andrews! Drop my car off, their shuttle bus to Airport. Car were inside old warehouses. Be away for month overseas, arrive back call shuttle bus to be picked up. Come back to a clean washed car and drive away. Service was great at a good price. Never a problem. I used to always drive Rocky/Brisbane rather than fly, was all part of our trip experiences.

Was made that offer to set up my business in San Francisco years ago, as I had a few day job clients there. but declined it. Now, I can afford to fly there in the future, 4 time a year to fly Part 103, offer to keep my aircraft at friends ranch I have known for 25 years from my 4x4 trips years ago.

Now you now WHY I am championing the cause, for FAA FAR Part 103 as per U.S. rules for Australia? I am in the process of building a case, in my submission to the Minister for Aviation and CASA to hear my case heard. I am currently in contact with the U.S. as part of my process, in an attempt to further that case. Right now, I won’t say any more than that. I know people will bag me for it, but I have NEVER let other human beings define me 🤩

My Thruster T300 was grounded from training, on a phone call from RAAus, no documentation, no letter nothing. no reason either. The lady was not nice about it, either. So I told her to do what she liked, I guessed the 582 may have Been close to time out? My logbook showed OK. I told her I had a brand new zero timed complete factory engine to put in, anyway. I think my parting shot was…..leave me alone. I also have a complete new set of approved skins for it, too. so they can shove that as well…….f…..them. 🤩 Now……mmmmmm…….think I can put on the VH register? Is a legislative security mandate, ASIC is not going away, regardless. IF you are a CPL, it’s part of your flight bag, if you are a PPL you will need it at some time, if you are RAA, just don’t have one and go to airfields where it not needed. Just fly happy and IF you need extra fuel? Take a fuel bladder or make arrangement to avoid ASIC required airstrips. You would have more chance of tow starting a 747 made out of concrete, than getting ASIC repealed?

I would allege any correspondence from Maxine, would be penned by others, I can guess who but won’t name them. Let me say this, none of this is gonna get any better as time goes on. There will be more charges or restrictions on where you can land so the best bet is that as many people as possible band together and make landing places that are informal not widely published but shared amongst like-minded groups of people, and that way you can stage impromptu fly ins wherever you want on an as needed basis and stay away from the general area is populated by airports themselves. you can have barbecue days get together’s whatever. For those that can build air strips with no restrictions or potential problems well then do it.. I’ve looked closely at this and decided I’m simply going to have a large paddock big enough to land anything in it of reasonable size, it won’t have a wind sock but it will have a weather station link through a large antenna set up on a Wi-Fi hub so you can fly within 5 km of my paddock. Read the weather station with the app on your iPhone or iPad and get wind speed wind direction. How much rain in the last 24 hours and whatever else that weather station will put out. Next, the weather station will also be on the Internet and shared amongst people who are like-minded and may want to come to my paddock and land so that a day in advance they can see the weather conditions at my property. I could even make drums of fuel available for visitors and barbecue facilities. share the information amongst like-minded people and simply have fun doing it without the world or anyone else knowing what’s going on. That way no visible windsock identifies it as an airfield its simply a large grass area. It happens to be conveniently available for aircraft to land on and takeoff. I can even make a car available for people who want to go to the local Bunnings or Supercheap Aerospace to buy Chinesium parts to fix their planes if they need to. The only problem will be the paddock won’t be large enough for 727s to throw big doughnuts in 🤩🤩

So if it becomes too hard to fly your N number aircraft? Because of increasing regulations, increasing fees? Unfriendly airports? Those people who are sick of all the increasing b/s in Aviation in the U.S.? They can still enjoy their Aviation pastime, albeit with some restrictions, just change to FAA FAR Part 103? At least they are still able to fly low budget, and have fun 🤩

Yes and while everybody cooperates and works together and no egos get in the way and there is a resolution policy in place if anything comes up yes it can all work together and work well but some organisations just seemingly can’t get themselves together and ends up in a disgruntled mess Unfortunately

No, I will not cancel my membership at this time or take a plane off the register unless I transfer my Jabiru to VH which is something that can be done. I’m just a bit peeved with RAA at present on a few things, I know I am not popular on my Part 103 stuff, but really it is only my opinion and no one has to agree with me if they don’t want but it is on my bucket list 🤩

Turbs, there is a lot of things going on in the background for many people, I spend time on the phone these days, and all I hear is unhappy people, my experiences with RAA have never been good mostly, I feel,I am the enemy to them. They hammered me this week to pay my membership, a month early, I need to do an article for the mag, I bet they don’t publish it. I am a target on their lunch room dart board, because yes I am outspoken. we all have that right to express our selves.

So having read through bits of this, and comments made to me in conversation say that an MARAP must be RENEWED every year? MARAP even needed for simple things? I could not use factory tech documentation to fit a BRS to my 19 reg aircraft? I had to go through the MARAP process? So, I just bought a wearable parachute, open left door……..bail out, damn it watch the tail feathers, and job is done 🤩 No MARAP, no fees to pay, no RAA b/s, what is not to like 👍
