FROM YT DESCRIPTION:

"...  We all know and love the DC-3 - we know the story of the DC-6 and its battle with the Constellation. But nestled in between those two world-leading airliners was the DC-4, a trusty, rugged workhorse of a thing. The story of the DC-4 is one of the most interesting of its kind in aviation because this brilliant aircraft actually shaped the way you and I fly today in unexpected ways. A love letter to history's finest aircraft! Airliner Designs explores the design, construction, engineering and operation of some of the world's most famous - and forgotten - aircraft - from incredible airliners like the Lockheed Constellation and Boeing 707 to warbirds like the Supermarine Spitfire and Messerschmitt Bf 109. Join researcher and illustrator Michael Brady as he tells the stories behind some of the most incredible aircraft from history!"

Very interesting! Thanks for posting. Never flew on a regular DC4, however I made numerous trips on the Carvair conversion on trips from Southend to Ostend with passengers in the rear and a few cars up front. Also chartered a DC3 and a DH Heron to fly a group of friends from Bigggin Hill to Ostend for what became a fairly regular weekend away in Brugge (Belgium). Happy days.

For anyone interestes heres a bit more on the Carvair................ PS Sorry for a bit of thread drift.
