    interesting comment Alf do you think there'd be actual compo paid for the passengers stressful event ? (I mean actual - not the guff about litigious world, spec legal action etc) .................... these events would have happened before - compo actually paid ?

    The only thing rec aviation has an advantage in ............. compared to other flying ....... is simplicity and ease of regulation (some might scoff at all that) If you got a car license you are medically OK to do some cheap ? Flying Gliding maybe also .......... I can't think of anything better to promote the sport than that Maybe we are in a doldrum cycle - we just need another good old fashioned economic boom (theres always one of those just around the corner !)

    religion and law (including aviation law) are our fabrics of society - might as will throw in democracy as well (some unspeakable subjects mentioned there) ........... best known fabrics to date (of course, I could be convinced by good propaganda, though)

    I confess I cautioned Bernie - Gravity Why does a caution give some posters angst ? ................. it at least acknowledges a post. Some subjects here life critical - most are not serious by nature It is also the most contentious 'like' to use - that's why I like using it. Where danger, anger, litigation, bigotry, gay abandon (you name it) is used - then that's a good time to use it too A caution can be given in a humorous vane (its not a traffic ticket from Mr plod) ................ take Bernie for instance (if this is the correct thread) - I assume he is a married man, yet he is aware his 80 year old next door neighbour ? dress's in an air hostess's uniform ............ this is an area of extreme caution for Bernie

    an optimist would say a 15% discount on todays fees = 75% ............... taken into account any inflation you could well get close to 100% (or 1 year free). RAA need this income stream Charges for personnel licenses and plant are a definite gravy train for the regulator and are common in all walks of life a pessimist would say if RAA are offering 15% there is still something still in it for them - could they offer perhaps some more
