Putting 95/98 bowsers at airports would improve emissions greatly.
Many aircraft can use ulp but it's not convenient.
I was investigating putting a ulp bowser in at my local airport.
I ended up getting a "stern" email from Air BP which has the resident avgas bowser.
Most of the email was deceiving, if not outright wrong.
Basically they were protecting their turf.
It dawned on me that there are significant and entrenched "powers" very keen on maintaining the lucrative status quo.

Nah, it's easy and doesn't take much heat.
Grip the tube. Put some "weight" on it and warm the tube.
Heat will run down the tube and free it up....
Make sure it is spotlessly clean on re-assembly. ...

I did not watch much of the vid. Australian JORN radar can supposedly see a 172 at Cristmas Island, was this covered and why did Aus tax payers spend so much looking in the wrong spot.
Either "smoke and mirrors" pretending we don't know where it went.....
Or.....The JORN radar is useless and can't see jack sh!t.....

From a student and training facility providers perspective, the Foxbat will be easier if time and money are critical.
A Jabiru will probably make a better pilot but at the expense of time and hours flown.
A Foxbats nosewheel can be "held off" at not much more than walking pace, taking off and landing. Foxbat "yokes" maybe seen as more GA .....
Wheelbarrow landings are never kind to ANY aircraft.....

Second, retaining old maps and charts will greatly increase storage requirements. Once you have completed a map update (that is after the changeover date), head to OzRunways>Settings>Cache Management>Clear Old Files>Delete Files. You can also the use the 'Clear Tile Cache' button under the Cache Management menu to delete any tiles held in memory.

I have been battling with my iPad to reduce the size of OTHER on its memory, it occupies 9 gig of my 16 gig memory any one else have this problem and if so what was the solution
Look at what maps you have downloaded and what maps you actually need.
Delete those you don't need.
On apple devices I think you have to manually delete redundant maps after updates.
Is that correct?

Marty, get hold of a thread pitch gauge and check the nut against the screw. Despite the full traceability, there's always the chance of a mix-up. Traceability merely finds the person responsible.
The short distance the screw is going in, before it binds, indicates a serious thread mismatch.
Yes, you really need a pitch gauge and verniers (digital will give imperial or metric readout)
First 100% confirm pitch and dimensions of the bolt/screw and go from there....
Often the actual OD of a thread is slightly smaller than the nominal size....

To me the "brand" of anything doesn't mean much these days. Few actually manufacture themselves.
The best you can ask for is a robust quality control system.
The chinese have taken great pleasure in buying brands and replacing top quality products with cheap and nasty replacements (obviously maintaining the quality product pricing). Or they lower the price to put pressure on competitors.....with the intention of driving them out of business.
After a few of years the public work it out......sometimes....
Just because these part have a "number" it doesn't mean jack .....
If airliner parts can be faked, a few nut plates are nothing....

try them with a known m5 bolt,
if you get the same result your bolts are probably miss labled
I've had a bolt place supply me with the wrong ones
Yeah, I'm with you on that. Not the first time a "part picker" in some warehouse has miss matched similar parts.....

I see selling off as all part of the plan. Knowing it will all come unstuck eventually, "Plan C" is GO!
People need to think more of "how" you would plan out a VET fee scam rather than a normal business.

My personal opinion is it all starts with a single trigger and builds from there.
Consider this: You're flying from A-B and the weather's a bit iffy, you might be scud-running or not quite have the 3 miles. But you make it to B ok. That event sows the seed, not necessarily for outright rule-breaking, but the "she'll be right" mentality for the next time, where you might need to pop through a thin payer of stratus or be ducking and weaving through some low cumulus, "I did it last time, and it worked out OK". And the more times you do it - and survive, subconsciously you're building a "I know what I'm doing" culture where a junior you years ago, would take one look at it and say "Yeah, Nah, I'll wait it out".
Sometimes, sadly, this is the final outcome. He made the right choice to turn back in the first instance and was only 15 minutes out from Casino when he hit the terrain in a high-speed, high rate descent. Turning back a 2nd time for a 30 minute delay won't kill you, but not doing so might. Let's try to remember this lesson.

I wonder if they deployed the reverse thrusters? I looks like they are fitted.
I flew Alliance when they had them fitted to their F100's for just such an occasion.
They tested them a few times, but generally didn't use them (or need them) as they burnt more fuel.

Given recent events you would imagine intense US scrutiny of anything airborne in Iran with a multitude of surveillance assets.
Anything airborne in Iran would be monitored, so I think an accurate assessment will be forthcoming.

A hangar on private property is very different to one at an airport.
A hangar at an airport can generally be on-sold so has value in it's own right and can be more readily sublet to aircraft owners.... but there maybe a lease and other ongoing costs involved.
Each have their own merits and disadvantages.....

In the US atc seem to be able to call the emergency but in many countries it must be the pilot to call it. Perhaps a legal issue. I've heard atc try to coach or ask a pilot "Do you want to declare an emergency? ". I don't like the US system as it is not a clear responsibility.

Because this may have been the cheapest way for the teaching institution to give the ILLUSION that students will get their cpl with the knowledge they probably won't.....

My answer would be YES but you should check it out yourself.
Perhaps OR could make a LITE apple version based on the android model.
With a bit of luck it maybe even cheaper.
I do think OR is moving towards more commercial operators, which is really where the money is I guess...
My opinion of avplan is that it is also fairly technical and complex......only from the seminars I have attended......
