  2. Gyro's are controlled by a different body and their forum - http://www.asra.org.au/smf/index.php PS: Whats your location, someone might offer you a fly, then you will be bit
  3. Hi Warren, love the vehicles, ea81's also popular in Gyrocopters, google Rotorcraft, might also get some bites there.
  4. I have a 503 in a powered parachute with 160hrs and not a single problem. Usually runs mid 5's to low 6k revs 90% of time. Am looking to extend my rag and tube experience and getting into a drifter. Scouring the internet I see some issues with the 582 crank. Performance in the drifter would be better with the 582 but how much versus issues.
  5. Empty weight is 307+ kg's, same as Savannah with a LOT less bulk, must be constructed using heavier materials and would be very strong. They are developing a wind effective fairing for the pilot but the passenger is sitting in 90kn wind. MTOW 600kg but no storage space
  6. Same undercarriage and nose wheel as Savannah and no doubt Spirit and Vision.
  7. Dazza, I think putting it out here was a good idea, your QUESTION has been answered and instead of the Rep answering numerous emails, it is here for others to see if that rumour gets to them.
  8. Living in Brisbane you don't have to go far as there are GA and RAA schools nearby at Archerfield, Redcliffe and Caboolture and others further out on the fringes. Ring around and ask which way to go, RAA is Recreational and cheaper but Maximum 2 seats and predominantly outside of controlled airspace (unless suitable medicals and endorsements). GA bigger planes, more seats optional, more money and stricter medicals. All the best.
  9. Hi John, no PM received, however, My nephew has only shown a mild interest in the past but details would be interesting. Is the regime similar to here i.e. Factory built - Maintained by Lame. Kit built >51% - Maintained by Pilot and prices would be of interest
  10. Hi John, I have family in Zambia, what is the cost assembled

  13. If your Instructor thinks your capable you may get 2 lessons a trip with a break in between. Take plenty of good notes and role play at home, get a diagram of the airfield and circuit directions and fly the circuits in the kitchen chair adding components as you go. i.e. rotate, flaps, turns, radio calls, pre-landing checks etc. Do this daily and visualise. Good luck

  20. Using an IPAD i'm happy with the reliability of the Hardware and ozrunways software has proved reliable. I am sure the Android software will be reliable but there are some very good Android Tablets and some that wouldn't be classed as reliable. Is CASA going to go to lengths to approve some and not others ?
