One more little bit !.
In the Hummbird the tailwheel Is faster, than the same plane with a nosewheel behind the prop.
So when experienced in that plane, remove the nose wheel & put the tail wheel on.
Then start learning all over again !. LoL

I thought those gliders with power assist were the better buy !.
Two seater,s and they look well maintained ( I think ).
Have their own trailer ' hanger ' as a bonus.
But VH and l couldn,t get a Raa certificate.

Thats the rub, Anyone Can & have designed aircraft, especially model types,
I made model " canards " before they had that name ( that l had heard of )
Why put those fat wings at the front, made more sense to put the little wings at the front.

The American company, " Archates Power ", was developing that engine.( diesel two-stroke ).
" more power for less pollution" l remember it said
10 litre three cylinder produces ' 1600 ft pounds of torque ar 950 rpm" or 400 hp @ 1700 rpm.

Looks like it is, but never heard of that knickname before.
Far to complicated for a aircraft.

MII thought a twin twostroke firing at the same time, would have better crankcase compression, as both pistons will move into the crankcase together.
A " Commer " two strok diesel truck ", it sounded different. Three cylinders with six pistons.
Great fuel economy.

582 Oil Injection?
in Engines and Props
Posted
My brother hsd a 1950s car ( German ) with a two cylinder two stroke.AND oil injection.
The sedan was 600cc & the sports 900cc, he had the van as well.
They had cast iron crankcases with an alloy head, very like a Rotax.
