    Lanolin! , stay with a thick grease, a smear lasts forever. And it's cheaper by far . spacesailor

    There is one overlooked " grease " , by the name of Lanolin. It is the oil from sheep's ( wool ) hair . I have used it on rubber & it hasn't damaged it , after five years . It still has a little Shine left . Not ' animal ' fat , as it is only in the fleece. spacesailor

    "No longer a requirement " . Does that mean , I don't have to remove ' communication ' equipment from aircraft, when the new owner is not a licensed operator. Never did see those licenses for each part of the radio spectrum . As nothing more than revenue raising. spacesailor

    Just don't go , I had 60% burns . And maybe 4 or 5 skin patches put on the deep parts . It was bad trying to shave after that , so now sport a beard . When in the emergency the nurse said not to remove my cloths & wait till seen by a doctor. I took my jeans off & climbed ( with help ) onto a gurney . I woke up three days later . spacesailor

    Another way out of exercising . We will look like Americans soon . Today I walked 4.6 klmts . Measured by " Strava " APP . One sit & rest each way , to the chemist . ( I declined their free delivery ) . spacesailor

    Most " service ' garages buy oil in large bulk drums. And are seldom sealed or even have the ' bung ' replaced once opened . Supposedly , our oil " should " be changed for " Summer & Winter " . Does anyone check their ' service centre ' for your annual oil-change compliance . spacesailor

    Floatplanes are not only in the other side of the world . We do have them in Australia and New Zealand. Another ' aircraft/boating ' problem is sailing a large yacht past the Mascot airport , and catching a sailfull of " jetblast " of jumbos taking off . spacesailor

    There is a ' float ' plane inspection/ repair base at the " Old Halvorson's Shed " Kissing point . No signs anywhere for incoming aircraft. OR WAS , The last time I visited . spacesailor

    Wouldn't it be wiser To have a few ' practical ' lessons. With an instructor . To have an ' experienced ' pilot make the first test flight . Cuts down on mistakes. A first timer will make . If it doesn't work . A few good mates to take you to ' hospital ' , if it doesn't work for you ' this ' time . LoL spacesailor

    Maybe the flying clubs could / should " raffle off " a few flying lessons to the public at large . How many tickets for a $ million dollars. Perhaps the lease / new aircraft . Buying that airport , to save the flyers there . Big money ! . Just don't run off with it all , & the prize . Is this a ' charity ' . LoL spacesailor

    Takeaway. The " sausage sizzle " , that help those , " none " charitable organisations. SES, RFS , JUNIOR FOOTY CLUBS , AND FLYING CLUBS , to gain dollars to pay for equipment or services that are just too expensive without ' charitable ' donations . spacesailor

    But the alternative . Lotto : self perpetuating. Mater hospital lotteries: the chance of that dream home . A huge difference to my participation. spacesailor PS : it doesn't matter to lose , as it contributes to a good cause . To win that Cirrus aircraft, without the 'charitably component would not have got my & other people involved.

    What do you call " thermalling " . It's a huge thermal engine . Ask those that ' paraglide ' in competitions. Especially in ' thunderstorm ' conditions . Records were broken , & a competitor ( almost ) Froze to death in Australia . spacesailor

    I have an " anr " head set , it works equally well while mowing my lawn . LoL It reduces the exhaust noise as well as electrical , while listening to a tape or radio . spacesailor

    My " Fairbanks Morse " magneto specifies copper cored HT leads . I don't expect to get them from normal outlets . Any suggestions for replacements . spacesailor

    There is a small ' half circle ' alloy jack , suitable for our light planes . Jamb it under the Axel of that flat tyre, roll a little & the wheel comes up off the ground , perfect. spacesailor

    Use it for your plugs , then onsale it at half price to ' mates ' . How many plugs per tube are expected to treated , ( at a smear per plug ) . spacesailor

    I had better throw those very Old vintage tyres away , they must be at least 50 years in storage. Never did buy that jalopy we saw in some movies . spacesailor
