I was under the impression, to keep Oxydising too the minimum.

Brush away all that stuff away, down to clean metal.

My Grandson has received a packet of those aluminium rods for Christmas.

Guess who is going to teach the art of burning holes in aluminium, will have to buy a new propane hose for myself, as the old I mean very old hose has sprung a leak.

I,ve Never seen Both ends of a nut & bolt lock-wired! .

If you lock none end, whats to stop the other end turning,

Locktite type nut locker will allow the bolt to turn without it parting company with the parent part.

Test it yourself & undo the other end of the lock-wired fastner.

But putting in a new wire harness,  could be an alteration.

Isuzu Jackaroo were all made using a Loctite glue, no lock washers anywhere.

I use it on my propbolts,  as they are torqued every run, New prop working in & compressing the wood.
