  1. Looks like you can fly there and stay in the soon to be converted DC3, *adds to bucket list*.....Some photos in the link

Sounds good to me, they'll possibly call it the "Nostalgia Suite"

I've seen a few old aircraft that have been converted to living quarters and some of them are amazing.

Tell them not to call it the "Clear Prop" suite, because Ian might want them to buy his headsets to listen to to the mood music, when they're not even in the mood.violin.gif.c5b75ad61908a9873d5843b614c5c79e.gif

  2. My grandmother was a keen gardner and always kept a bucket and shovel just in side the front gate. When either the milkmans or the bakers horse left droppings on the road, she'd scoopt it up and put it on her garden.

One morning she told the milkman that she liked to put it on her rhubarb.

He with his typical pommie humour replied "Thats different lady! my wife puts custard on mine"037_yikes.gif.f44636559f7f2c4c52637b7ff2322907.gif

  3. Welcome to the forums Kanga. Great to have you on board mate:cheers:.

Out of curiosity, do you hail from the UK originally like me?

The reason I ask, is that when I first arrived here decades ago, I used to say "Good Day" to everyone when the Aussie way is simply G'day.

Still means much the same hopefully, but I believe in the old saying "When in Rome do as the Roman's do".

Not having a shot at you at all, but if this the case? Hope it helps you becoming Ausified.

Look forward to hearing more from you.

  4. As an old model builder I can relate to your aprehension.

Not always easy to make a decision, but if you do sell it, only look forward to future interests and try not to look back.

A bit like getting a new woman in your life I suppose:bash:

  5. BTW please forgive but it's been nagging me so have to ask, when you're in the left seat would that make you a DIC....?

No! Just a PIC... Pensioner in Control:yikes:

Just watch out for the RAAF moustache, long scarf and a wide brimmed hat, just like the old blokes driving a Volvo. Then go by road.

  6. Flew Syd-Melb twice with Tiger and had similar delays to you Ian on both occasions----never again!

Jetstar stuffed us around big time on 3 0f the 4 flights ive had with them. Last time they re-sheduled the flight to 1hr earlier and no one let us know. Had to part with $170 and wait a further 2 1/2hrs for next flight.

Never ever had a single problem with Virgin, though it probably does happen occasionaly, and recently flew back with them from Coffs and I only counted 26 pax. Jetstar seem to pull the plug if it's not about 85% full.

Next time you get stuck, simply call our mate at Andy Air:plane: His service sounds pretty good to me.

  7. My son came home from school one day and told me that he'd learned in scripture that they had motorbikes back in biblical times.

I replied "that's utter nonsense son"

Tis true Dad!............ After the Battle of Jericho, all you could hear was the roar from Joshua's Triumph 082_scooter.gif.e6a62d295b0b59b8276038871473d864.gif
