  1. I have read of similar cases caused by a bit of air in the system and that the PA22 system can be a bit of pain in the butt to bleed.

The linings themselves may be old and hard, and also glazed.

I'd be checking the condition of the drums and the surface of the linings as well. If they are heavily glazed they will not have as much bite.

Have you tried physically checking the brake resistance by turning the wheels by hand, with the wheels raised off the ground.

Is it during the run-up they don't hold, or after landing which is the problem?

  2. What a hoon you were, no better than me:whistling:but so many did it.

The trolley buses used to accelerate faster than my legs could ever carry me.

Came a cropper a couple of times also jumping off buses as they turned a corner, once in a smart brand new black blazer and cavalry twill trousers bought only half an hour before, to impress the chicks.111_oops.gif.c3c5baaa5707146d79982a6c76d3424e.gif

  3. I'm currently deciding between the Tomahawk Hawk 100 or Skymaster 1:3.65 scale version, both are a similar size and significant investment. Bigger Hawks are actually relatively easy to fly, compared to say a hornet or large mig 29 (which I'm currently flying).

A couple of photo's of the mig would be nice.

  4. For those who do not own a drone, the following may be of interest.

    http://wiki.dji.com/en/index.php/Phantom_3_Professional-_Flight_Limits_and_No-Fly_Zones.

I own a DJI Phantom and it's software limits me to an altitude of 400ft AGL which is fine for most general purposes.

If I were to take it very close to nearby Mascot Airport for example, it GPS positioning would not even allow it to get off the ground.

From memory, assume I attempted to fly it just outside the airport, it may only allow it to climb to 30 or 40ft and on a sliding scale that would increase gradually until 5 miles out, when it could then climb to it's programmed max of 400ft.

However, a few build their own drones and may not necessarily incorporate all these features in the flight controller.

At least some manufacturers are trying to improve safety by designing their software to protect others from those who are less aviation safety conscious, which is a step in the right direction.

  5. OK,. . .OK,. . . .maybe we'd better drift off the Easter meme and not egg it on any more. . .In other news. . . . . Findus Foods accused of allowing Equine meat to be used as a substitute for beef. . . . A Findus spokesman vigorously denies this. . . .

Deep Filly Beef?Thought that could have been a potential winner for someone!

  6. I think you will find this has now been adjusted. I know there was a turbulent period where the Wyongshire council were making it hard for people. I fly in and out of there all the time, I believe the current landing fee is $16 for 1500kg, the hanger fees are around 4k a year.I would be quicker for you to get to Warnervale, what type of AC do you own or oprerate?

I spent last week at Blue Bay on the Central Coast with perfect flying weather.

While laying on the beach with the (2nd shh!) love of my life, I kept hearing the sound of a Rotax and inconsiderate buggers kept flying over the top and tantalizing me.

There were two giro's, both a red and yellow one, looked like MTO Sports to me with empty back seats, plus a trike making regular runs along the coast. I'd have happily paid the landing fee's etc; to fill the other seat. They were probably from Somersby or Warnervale.

I was told "you seem more interested in them".067_bash.gif.26fb8516c20ce4d7842b820ac15914cf.gif

You rotton sods:yikes:, you've got to stop these sort of antics. There was plenty of room to land on the beach.

  7. The croc in the first picture looks like it's been photoshop'd to me, and probably taken on the Yellow River. We saw some huge buggers there, but not quite like that.

My son is a keen Jew fisho, and although he's caught some beauties, they are not 2mtrs long like they look in some of the photo's i've taken, but it makes for a great story. (not that fisho's exaggerate a little) 020_yes.gif.58d361886eb042a872e78a875908e414.gif
