    There is a bit more to it with the drone pilot having to have a radio on current frequency and talk to the aircraft, with the drone pilot being responsible for separation. I have worked a few time (low level) close to drones, the pilots were good and made their intensions clear. I have also flown in countries where there are no such rules and it was the wild west.

    Thinking clearly in an a catastrophic situation, cut off/ let go her tangled main before deploying the emergency. It's hard not to panic, unless you've been there you don't know how you will react.

    "Little wings charity"? Is that Angel flight? If not is there room for two top heavy charities? Is Angel flight still going with the raffle debacle and all the fatal bad weather accidents?

    I disagreed with the ATSB's findings Gary, knowing that aircraft personally and having been directly associated with the company doing the maintenance for something like 15 years before the accident.

    Commercial annual fee might be nil but it it costs CASA to process your medical and depending on how old you are it can cost further north of $2000 to do the tests required

    Airports were given to councils along with a large donation to keep them running as airfields and a community asset. Councils have now turned them into commercial real estate for personal gain. Privatise and perish.....

    The ASIC has been a great success, since introduction there have been no terrorist incidents in Australia involving aircraft or access to airfields 🤣

    Dunnooo about bigger machines but AOA can be felt the way the aircraft feels and handles in smaller stuff. Very mushy high AOA and tight responsive low AOA.

    I read the residents are now complaining how dangerous training is around Parafield. Doesn't seem that long ago it was out on it's own with not much around.

    I run 98 in all sorts of machinery, no trouble with it going "Off" even after months. With the lower grade fuels it seems to go off very quickly and leaves a green slimy residue in float bowls.

    Because they can, free enterprise is charge what you can. If the demand is greater then cash in and profits are greater. The idea is to make as much money as you can, fairness or equity doesn't come into the equation.

    I read how the pilot who groundlooped the Kittyhawk did a heroic job avoiding people on the ground. 😆 Was praised for his skill. It would have been incredible to see so many machines up close and flying.

    I saw a Paul Bennet interview a while ago, he was on about adrenaline and what a buzz it was doing aeros so close to the ground. Didn't impress. On another subject why all the bullshido with massive explosions and flames at airshows?

    The wooden blades shear off with contact. Col was marshalled into a ditch when he got his first one going and broke off the blades. With a smaller engine breaking wooden blades is a lot better on the crankshaft the hitting with a metal prop, not sure about something like a Merlin.

    Yes a canard doesn't "stall", it's front wing/canard stops flying and the aircraft goes into a spiral dive that takes a LOT of height to recover.

    That would be 8,000' with a developed spin in a 210, they lose a lot of height very quickly.

    1 The ATSB have been known to get it wrong. 2 Yes a 210 will bite but it's hardly the space shuttle. 3 See point one.

    It's been reported the instructor involved was known to demonstrate spins in the 210
