  1. Some good info there in that Vid, if you want to skip the rabbiting/waffling on go to around the 15 min mark👍 Its getting that way that you’ll need to be a Philadelphia lawyer to figure it all out😉 Jill had the best info👍
  2. Thank Christ we don’t experience this down under! Pre heating an engine and having snow on the ground means stay inside where it’s warm👍 This guy has great vids but I can’t stand his voice!
  3. Stop it, yooz all scaring me!😂😂 I must get a plane drivers ticket one day, just in case😉
  4. I’ve said it many times, Sheilers & aviation are a poor mix, pick one and stick to it😂
  5. Some flying machine drivers live on the edge! I’ve seen one of these contraptions crash in the 80’s, the driver was just as mangled as the machine! Pass!
  6. You also would have to take into account the ‘give’ factor in the U/C such as tires, the oleo components (if any) as well as the seat cushion/s etc when arriving in a somewhat normal attitude and the crumple factor of the airframe if going more vertical, none of these would come into play impacting the ground as a stand alone human body. The human body can take a lot of punishment but extreme blunt force trauma usually means it’s lights out, for good!
  7. Cesspool ML last night, getting more & more a rat race every day!
  8. jackc…stop showing signs of enjoyment, that’s unacceptable……to some😉😂
  9. That heli contraption has $$$$ written all over it😂
  10. Give that man a cigar😉 The peak on the left (as far as I could tell) is rather famous. Drove past it yesterday.
  11. Lake Eyre Nth yesterday, for those that can’t get there to see it. Taken a little higher than the average bug smasher😉👍
  12. Ah poor Bob, feeling a little left out😉😂😂
  13. Amazing footage there! Imagine the cost involved just so mankind can continue to find quicker easy ways to blow each other up? The human species hasn’t progressed far at all since they left the caves with clubs!🙁
  14. That’s so true T88. I recently drove/ferried a basic toy plane interstate for somebody and it was a horrible thing as far as the gas pedal goes! Pull it to idle and watch the tachometer creep up 150 rpm or so!
  15. In over 42 years driving planes I no longer question what keeps us up, it just does, and that’s fine with me😂
  16. Dave wont do annuals etc normally, there’s no money in it! He’s a savvy businessman, he knows where the $$& lie and it ain’t in toy planes!😂
  17. How much an hour for that old girl?
  18. They also don’t mention other added stresses. Violent engine failure with associated noise and oil spraying everywhere! hysterical passenger especially sitting next to you! The only other thing that should be mentioned is that the need to get back on the RWY should NOT be the priority, the whole airfield should be clear enough to make an emergency landing!
  19. Hope everyone watches the Blancolirio Chanel re the latest stall/spin fatal accident in the States of a C140, actual footage is available. just so unnecessary🙁
  20. Good job we don’t have much of this going on in Oz udderwize we’d have bodies everywhere!
  21. Most understand it but there will always be those that simply don’t believe! as long as they are not sharing the same airspace as me then let ‘em rip😂
  22. Turning DW I maintain the same airspeed, Airbus to ultralights, old wives tales tends to frighten many!
  23. I’ve completed today a trip up to my mates place, 440 nm in 2.5 hrs using 84ltrs costing just under $230 bucks. It couldn’t be done in some batt powered machine and never will in my lifetime! I’ll stick to my hydrocarbon burning contraption for just the thrill and simplicity of it👍
