A great day at Charleville Saturday, nice weather and a good attendance from locals and visitors. A few warbirds provided joy rides and aerobatic displays as well as a replica scale Spitfire and Cessna 185 doing some flybys . We flew in from Roma with a few of our local aero club members in a Cessna 172 and Arion Lightning and a couple other local area pilots in a AAK Hornet . It was very well organised and airside access was available for people to get close up to the aircraft. Plenty of great food and other displays from other organisations including the Army. Some training organisations were also providing TIFs for anyone interested in learning to fly . Charleville has a great airport facility and there is plenty of other attractions close by . Great to see aviation alive and thriving in western Queensland.

The Spitfire replica and C185 performances were (unexpectedly) entertaining….It was a good weekend but 8+ hours of hand flying is about my limit these days 😵‍💫A522A3E1-D885-40B3-999A-1F6FEA2555FD.thumb.jpeg.b84eacb72cff932fd2c06a37038cc901.jpeg
