After 2000 hrs decided to rebuild my worn gearbox, vibration as I come down through the revs, as it turns out , Bert flood can’t supply the prop shaft , long shot I know but has anyone know of a crashed or blown low hour engine , mine has the slipper clutch, I might be grounded for a while waiting for floods to come good

Probably not what you want; I have a 2017 195 hour 912ULS for sale in classifieds,  one price is without the gearbox inspection, should buyer wish to do that.  Its expected gearbox will be ok, with no issue and I'll warranty the sale if gearbox is found to be damaged.  Prop strike and engine not turning.  End of next week I'll be dismantling the gearbox and carry out the relevant checks, shaft etc (I am Heavy maintenance qualified by Rotax and have a tool on the way in post to disassemble).  When I do the G/B the sale price will exclude this cheaper option, as will be a fit and fly engine.  Just for your info.  Cheers

Sydney Recreational Flying Club, The Oaks, recently wrote of a Foxbat/912ULS. Might be worth contacting -  https://www.srfc.org.au/the-oaks-airfield

Just for info NO reduction gear set up tolerates a zero thrust situation well, even turboprops.  Nev

Don't know re those just working of the history of the Rotax gearbox with the overload clutch and three washer plate setup and years and numbers of prop strike inspections coupled with hours in service of the respective gearboxs.

Any place where there's a running clearance will be Subject to chattering in a floating torque situation (Harmonics)_. If turbines do it, Reciprocating motors are Much worse.  Flywheels and Harmonic balancers have been around for ages. It causes fretting and fatigue. Nev

Where are you located. I know someone with a flying school 912uls for $800, it's a bare engine without accessories. As far as I know it was in good condition,

Sounds good, let me know when you get the shaft out, easy to do if you have a hydraulic press, could you ring me 0428585573 when you know more, thanks
