Willowbank, Qld. I've passed it very rarely, this time someone else was driving so I took some pics from the road. Pilot name, I assume was Nilsson. Was hoping it was my old CFI. I guess this is to do with Amberley? Looking a bit unloved 😞

I had a look through Moorabbin museum today. I go every couple of years. They either put on new displays or I forget what was there to start with. Not sure which.

I had a look over the Canberra on display. I should have got a photo. Took some others though

it was a stretched dove with 4 engines. a prototype that was flown by airlines for years. it might be the only one.

The DH Heron 1 had fixed landing gear, the DH Heron 2 had retractable gear. See Variants here:

I am familiar with the DH Heron (2?) having spent many hours/trips droning over the Pacific in the folding undercarriage variants (Fiji-Solomons)😈

the information plaque on the one in my photo said it was a prototype.

for what its worth, i posted this pic off the net. it answers skippys observation about the landing gear. this is the prototype heron number 1. 

i thought i had read that on the info plaque.
