If you can't feather the Props, it's not likely to fly well on one engine, so not a lot of practical use. With engines you have twice the chance of an engine failure. Nev being able to fly on one engine was one of the requirements of the design. the south africans asked for a jabiru that could fly over tiger country from what i have read.

facthunter Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I just cannot see the Purpose of it. It's solely a South African Project as far as I can tell. It can only extend the glide if you have some height. I know that engine RPM synchronisation (or Lack of it) drives you nuts with the fixed pitch Props. With CS, it's a lot easier. A lot of multi engined planes have Auto Synch engaged when you get them close, otherwise it drives everyone Nuts. Even people on the ground. Nev

Even With the Modern Ones IF the engine cannot be feathered you don't go anywhere, and VMC (a) is even higher so your control difficulties are magnified and climb performance is further degraded.
