Well produced propaganda/sales video - no mention of wet/cold weather opps.

The reality is this is just a nice looking low performance aircraft, that will cost someone a heap to keep free of corrosion /looking good.

Its cruise & stall are nothing to write home about. Many in this class will easily out perform it, but probably not look as cooooool.

Most pilots like the look of a single seater (usually with a canopy) but few purchase. Why? Simple, a second seat confers versatility, the occasional passenger,  somewhere to put your inflight stuff.

I am not against the Spirit, its an aircraft and for the most part I support aircraft. It just doesn't tick my boxes.

I am sure it will be popular amongst those who want to fly in nice balmy weather, low so that people can admire and charge for all the photo opportunities where the "pilot" sits in the cockpit with a retro look leather flying cap on.

I would admire a similar looking, genuine vintage, aircraft that someone lovingly refurbished but this ??????😈

He's consistent  and preDICKtable though. He Lures you into the air to shoot you down. Way back I decided to not get involved  in his "discussions" so called but he is everywhere. Nev

Looks like a Chilton, handsome machine. Very good performance for a small engine. There is a market for single seaters, a lot of folk go flying on their own. Seems very expensive but I suppose these days where a lightweight plastic fantastic sells for as much as a new C210 used to cost the @100 k Oz is resonable

A worthy addition to the Market . I Can't see why it is not fitted with a dorsal fin, though.  It's not really expensive when you look at the features and all this stuff is Low volume. Nev

And this is the SE-1 Factory Tour follow up.  It's a long vid but full of great engineering detail.

The ingenious wing fold system is demo'd at around 44:00

Every time I see this plane I just want one. Even more now I've seen the factory. That folding wing is a great setup.

That's a very clever understressed Motor. The vee configuration has better torsional vibration  aspects and the single throw crank is stronger. and stiffer Two barrel carb is better fuel distribution and is below the Motor, Nev

How about this upright V, similar displacement (1213 cc) but designed and built a century earlier?

He handled the Plane pretty well in the circumstances. I don't recognise the engine. I think it's a sidevalve which wouldn't have a lot of Power. Nev

The Title  gives no clue to those with an Open Mind. I  don't believe either Aircraft is a Fake Wannabe. It's up to those who Make that assertion to Make their case convincingly not just RAVE on incessantly bagging a GOOD thing.Nev
